I always look for unique places to eat when I’m out of town and I quickly realized that Carrollton, KY was not the epicenter for fine dining! But Hometown Pizza DID serve up some GREAT pizza! Although I must let you know, I’ve never met a pizza I didn’t like! The pizza was very similar to Pizza Hut in looks and taste. The restaurant was clean and affordable. The waitress I had was very helpful and friendly. There is a wide array of pizza choices as well as salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes and other menu items. The restaurant is in a great location for General Butler State Park guests!

I stayed at the General Butler State Resort Park for a training and we stopped here before leaving. I wasn’t expecting much but the pizza was surprisingly great and the service was good.

Fantastic pizza! We stopped in on a road trip to visit family, and I’m glad we did! We tried the hometown specialty, and the lasagna. Both were great!

Not a bad option for lunch in Carrollton. They have decent pizza although some of the waitresses have a habit of not writing down orders, for some reason they prefer to try and memorize them. Sometimes this works out ok but… other times you might have to send back a pizza or two.

With the somewhat limited choices for lunch in Carrollton, Hometown has become a regular for their lunch buffet. You can certainly feel like a true American grabbing a plate stacked high with cheesy slices of greatness, devouring it, then repeating two more times. Their selection is good, and while you can’t go wrong with the pizza I’ve been pleasantly surprised with their side dishes as well… excellent pasta salad, green beans with potatoes, and lasagna.

Great Buffet deal. Similar to pizza hut but not as greasy. The 4-Cheese colossus is by far my favorite specialty pizza here.

Hometown Pizza is a tradition every time I camp at General Butler State Resort Park. The staff always accommodates our large group of more than 20 and understands when we show up stinky and hung over. The pizza selection isn’t gourmet, but it is diverse, with new pizzas popping up hot as soon as their predecessors are devoured. On Sunday, I had slices of pepperoni, deep dish pepperoni, taco, pineapple, grilled chicken and cheese bread. The buffet also includes pasta, soup, salad and dipping sauces. And the price is just $ 6.35.
