Writing about an experience on Friday evening, January 29th. For $ 14 margaritas and $ 25 plates, we were disappointed in our experience. Our server, Kiara, was not attentive and the overall pace of the restaurant was ridiculously slow. Because of this, however, we had plenty of extra time to notice one employee who really stood out. Even though she didn’t serve us directly, Adriana did everything from bus tables to help an older lady down the stairs. Whoever is managing her should promote her immediately. Overall, our experience was subpar. We will not be returning.

We came here for a private party in one of their banquet rooms. What a great set-up. Servers were on top of everything. Refills were on point. Oh and by the way everyone was going dutch. So we probably had 15 separate bills. The 2-person wait staff were awesome! no extra charges, no mistakes. The food was typical fare. We had a buffets of steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. We also had beef enchiladas, beans, rice and tortillas. The only hiccup was that the tortillas seemed store bought. Which is perplexing because they are made there by hand. The consensus from the group was that yes, we will use them again.

Great food amazing service. I highly recommend the table side guacamole. The stuffed poblano was great as well. The wait staff was very attentive and personable. If you go ask for Merissa, she was was wonderful. If you have room for dessert I highly recommend the hot apple pie and ice cream.

When we are in Dallas this is the place we go. Weather you are wanting steaks or fajitas, everything we have had is great! We have even had our Christmas parties here for work and we live 3 hours away!

I’ve lived out here for my whole life. You could say I’m a local and this is a favorite. I’ve also been to 2 wedding rehearsals here. Love it!!!

dissapointing. We used to eat here every week until about 2 years ago when they jacked the prices up. I remember when this place would have a hour wait. Not anymore and for good reason. We were sat at 645. 705 we finally get waited on because our waiter was slammed. Obviously this was not his fault but he had too many tables. Prices went up again!!! 25.00 for a meal that was 17.002 years ago? 44.00 for fajitas for two? Non cooked onions. Zero peppers. Zero. Plate looked lonely! We ordered combo fajitas, we just wanted shrimp and beef. Menu says 32.00, barely a mouthful of guacamole, cheese and pico. Realize when we got in the car to leave we were charged 44.00 not 32.00 as the menu stated. My wife and I are not big people and we felt like we were on rations. Chips were old and not very good. My 14 year old didn’t get enough to eat with her $ 14 plate? Bill with a tip for a family of 4 was $ 105 with tip. It’s 11 pm and I’m hungry. Probably won’t be back. Sad to see how this place has changed. Maybe the frisco location is better?

Love this place. The food was really wonderful! The table side guacamole was our favorite. The décor is a bit confusing, but I guess I’m just used to the cheesy Mexican restaurant décor. We will definitely come back and try the drinks.

Just had lunch there and for 3 our bill was $ 56. Food was ok but overall I was not impressed. The lunch specials were from $ 10 — $ 18. The food was pretty generic. The service was good. Our waiter was prompt and kept our drinks full. Just glad we tried it for lunch instead of dinner.

I don’t know how this place gets decent reviews? This place has a country western vibe fitting for a steakhouse or BBQ joint but oh well, nothing worth complaining too much about. My man ordered the brisket tacos and I ordered the steak fajitas because the reviews on here claimed that these dishes were the best. Yea, not so much. The corn tortillas on the tacos were soggy, there was a ton of cheese and hardly any meat. Not a good dish at all. My fajitas were tender, okay in flavor but certainly not the best… not even close! I don’t know maybe I’m spoiled because I grew up on great homemade Mexican food and live in between Austin and San Antonio where you have a wide variety of excellent taco trucks and amazing 5 star Mexican restaurants but this place is just overrated and overpriced. Go to Taco Cabana instead… same quality food if not better at a lower price.

Really good food. We are picky about Tex Mex. always want to stop here. Finally did last night. I’ll highlight what we had and keep this to the point: Chips and salsa: pleasing, good chips and smoky salsa Queso: great texture, spicy, and lots of flavor Tortilla soup: HUUUUGEBOWL. enough to feed me and take some home to feed 2 more the next day! Flavorful, soft veggies, lots of chicken and avocado. Some of the best tortilla soup I’ve ever had. Fajitas: beef was tender and lots of flavor. Corn tortillas were fantastic. Hubby said the meat was better than his favorite: Mi cocina. Great experience. Will go back.

If you have ever been to Marianos in Arlington, this is their daddy. The décor is Texas country style full of taxidermy animals, cobblestone rock and wood walls. This would be a perfect location for a large party or gathering, as it is huge and has a separate party room called«Margarita Room». Although the menu is very different than Marianos the food was equally as delicious. The only disappoint was not having the chicken tacos here. What made up for it was the Margarita menu was larger and more impressive here! This place is a must for anyone living in the metroplex or anyone visiting.

One of the better Mexican restaurants I’ve had in Dallas. Try the sunshine fajitas, nice spin, and get the steak — very tender. Chips and salsa are top notch! Only down fall is that this place is pricey.

Ate here a week ago and would have to say it was average. So when did steak fajitas start costing the same as a steak? $ 18 for fajitas? I’ll go get a steak next time. Sat on the patio and think they forgot they had an outside eating area. Waiter disappeared for most of the night. This place is usually pretty good, but they dropped the ball tonight.

We had 3 orders. All were wrong. 1. I ordered the burrito with chili con carne, and ranchero beans. It came with refried beans, half of the burrito had chili, the other half rancher sauce. Just stupid. Also forgot my soul cream. 2. FIL ordered combo quesadillo, got chicken only. Charged for combo. 3. Ladies split fajitas with ranchero beans, got refried beans. Server did not know if ranchero beans and barracho beans were the same. He had NO business working a table.

My husband and I came here on a date night and were pretty disappointed. For starters it was a slow night yet service was terrible. Our waiter was incredibly slow and probably came by our table twice the entire time we were there, I had to track down a different server to get a drink and chip refill. What should have been an hour long dinner turned into a two hour dinner because everything was so slow! Second, the food was fairly bland and mediocre. For the price we paid for our dishes we were expecting something at least better than what you could get at On The Border. The queso was $ 8 for a bowl and it was okay but not great. My husband ordered the brisket quesadilla which he said was fairly bland. Our beans and rice were cold and the chips were stale. The only thing that was fairly good was the chicken fajitas. Overall it was a very disappointing experience from the service and food!

Went here last night and it was mediocre to say the least. My favorite thing I tried was their guacamole and salsa which were very fresh. With the prices on the menu ranging in extremes, I was expecting a great deal from my $ 16 fish tacos. But alas, they tasted bland, the«rice pilaf» and grilled veggies looked so old and honestly disgusting. My boyfriend got the Cowboy Surf and Turf and it was just sad. For $ 32, you can work on presentation and not slap it down, cafeteria style. This place is more appealing to the aesthetics, if you enjoy dead animal heads hanging everywhere. With tiny Christmas hats. But I did love all the fire places. Overall, this place is more for experience, I suppose. I would never willingly go back. I guess they rack up the meal prices to pay the huge electricity bill.

Best Tex-Mex I have had. Period. The Carne Asada was the juiciest and most mouthwatering I have ever had. The queso is the best in DFW. I am a queso snob. When we came in, the place was buzzing but we got seated pretty quick. I love the decorations they have, it gives a true Tex-Mex vibe. I did not try to margaritas but wish I would have. I found out after the fact that they were voted Best Margarita in Texas by the Readers of the Dallas Observer for 2014. I failed myself. I will be coming back again though! Well worth the drive!

One word: fajitas! Their spicy queso dip is pretty good too. Huge portions.

It has been a while since we were last here. We had a few lunches here when we were scouting out homes in the area. Now we have moved to Texas and will keep this as one of our go-to restaurants. Last night I tried the Catfish for the first time. Wow, it won’t be the last time. My wife had some very good grilled chicken. Good Margaritas, good food and friendly, efficient servers. A good night out!

This place is very close to me, but for some reason I have never gone. After eating here I wondered what was wrong with me. This place was packed, but we got a table for four people immediately. I didn’t get to try the drinks, but everything I saw looked so good. The salsa was amazing and the chips always came out fresh and hot. I couldn’t decide between the enchiladas and fajitas so I asked the waiter. He said to go with the fajitas without a doubt and they were very flavorful and amazing. I chose the small portion and that was big enough for two people. Service was good, our waiter checked on us even after we paid and we were sitting there chatting for four hours. I’m looking forward to going back next time and trying the enchiladas and drinks.
