Fun place to visit and we’ve bought things here many times. It’s small and can feel pretty crowded on a busier day/time so you probably would want to avoid if you have claustrophobia issues. Staff is always very nice. Selection is «eclectic» and you never know what you might find which is both good and bad since you can’t be guaranteed to get something you need in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend to any readers.

This is probably the most personal and pleasant shopping experience I’ve ever had. It’s always so much fun to browse what’s new and the staff are so friendly and always greet you with a smile. I’ve been shopping there for almost 3 years now and I will always be a loyal customer.

If you love meandering into cozy, unique used books stores to explore and find some rare and interesting finds then Underground Books is for you. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful and spends a lot of his time stocking the shelves for intelligent and curious book readers. There are also great gift ideas for friends and family such as antique first edition copies of classic and children’s books. I highly recommend this place!

I give this place a 5⁄5 on Unilocal, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be knocked out upon your initial visit. It’s a very quaint, small book store, and definitely has a lot of surprising finds. Before Underground, I went to Wally’s Book Exchange near Kroger, which was a great store with vinyl records. Underground has a better book selection than Wallys had, though I miss the records so much. Usually the person behind the register is the owner, a really nice guy, and there are great prices on everything.

This bookstore is the best I have seen as far as the ones that offer used books for purchase. Everything is carefully categorized so you can go straight to the section of which you are interested in and begin browsing. They offer alot more than your average bookstore. Among other things, They have Unique Books & Vintage Postcards to buy. I highly reccomend that you Check this place out!

This book store is one of a kind. Its Diagon-alley location oozes personality and cozy comfort. The knowledgeable staff will astound you! Need a map on the Peloponnesian War? The staff, which I could only describe as «book-whispering», will find what you need in a hitch. If the charming staff and atmosphere don’t leave you lingering around this book store, the kitschy notebooks made from antique book covers will. Why buy a generic notebook when you can have a unique blank book with a cover(cerca 1960) that reads«For Innocents, Only»?

Have you ever dreamt of having a large library of books lined all up against the wall and shoved into every corner? Even if you haven’t, I’m sure you can appreciate finding literature at discounted rates. Well stop dreaming, fellow bookworms. Underground books is exactly what you have been looking for! They sell and buy used and antique books ranging from classic literature, philosophy, photography, history, fiction, biographies, textbooks, poems, plays, art, politics, science, gardening, and the list goes on! There are so many hidden treasures. As you would imagine, the bookstore is «underground», and feels like you just walked into the basement of a brilliant mind. It’s dark, and there is classical music playing. It’s a little dusty, but well kept and organized. The cons is that much like a thrift store(which is what Underground books is in book form), you do have to take some time to look through the books. But if you have an afternoon and a few bucks to spare, it’s the perfect pastime. Although it’s not guaranteed that you’ll find what you have in mind, you’re likely to find something you can happily walk away with. And don’t let the«thrift store» imagery scare you away — they do carefully organize the books categorically, so don’t fret. It’s not a nightmare by any means! On my first visit I walked away with a lovely binding of «The Grapes of Wrath» by John Steinbeck as well as Ayn Rand’s «Anthem», all for less than $ 9 combined! If this review doesn’t convince you, just go check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Underground Books is a small used bookstore just off of Adamson Square in Carrollton, Georgia specializing in rare, unique, interesting, odd, or antiquarian texts. It’s West Georgia’s best for serendipitous browsing, with a great atmosphere.
