My husband had a sciatic nerve and was referred to go to Jennell. She did amazing job. Although he was in pain it was so much better then before he went in. Through out the message she helped relax him while she worked out the tangled nerve. The environment was also very relaxed and friendly. I would highly recommend Jennell.

If you’re looking for a bonafide massage experience, come here! I’m beginning to think that getting a massage is best done with private individuals in private businesses and not with franchises or casino spas. I had a massage at Massage Envy a couple of weeks before and it was nothing short of disappointing. I left more sore than when I started and I –clearly– needed to get another one to work out the kinks. My mom and I had gone to Linda at Body and Soul before she retired but her replacement, Jennell, came highly recommended. All I know is that my hands were held together piously as I prayed this time around for a proper massage. Although I don’t know specifics, my mom had a great massage just a couple of days before mine, so it seemed I’d be in for a therapeutic time. Thankfully, Jennell was kind to listen to what I needed from a massage and gave her suggestions for what kind of experience she’d set up for me. So I looked forward to my massage and hopefully not leaving worse than I would arrive. My appointment day came and I arrived at Body and Soul five minutes to my time. Jennell was right there to meet me and ushered me into the very homey room. When I say homey, I mean«homey»: Body and Soul is established in an old home, so there might be a kitchen sink and a fireplace in your therapy room. No big deal, it actually gives it a very individualized feel and it’s nice to not enter such a sterilized setting. My massage was definitely catered to what needs I specified to Jennell and it was less than a massage per se, and more of a relaxing, gentle squishing. I’m not sure Jennell was able to really do much, because I really didn’t feel much of a difference, but I guess I’ll err on the side of caution and assume something good came out of it.(Less lactic acid in my muscles?) It wasn’t my idea of a perfect massage, but then again, it’s probably because Jennell knew I couldn’t leave more sore than when I started. I will definitely be back in the next week or so to get a bonafide, «please-take-away-my-knots» kind of experience, which probably means I’ll be leaving in pain. My one little pet peeve: talking. I can’t ding Jennell on this because my mom is a chatty person and probably primed Jennell to think that’s what I wanted, and I did ask a simple question that led into more talking. Either way, it wasn’t her fault, but I really do prefer my spa experiences to be full of peace and quiet and *bliss*(ya know, the fall into heaven and drool kind of bliss?).
