Chevron/Terrible Herbst

I’ve only stopped in for fuel, never actually went inside so I’m not sure how the facilities are. There normally isn’t a wait for a pump since this place supplies the higher quality, more expensive fuel in the area.
They provide nice, long windscreen washers that I could nearly clean my whole windscreen with from the driver’s side of the car. The do offer a convenient car wash and support the grocery store rewards discount.
Ingress and egress is car friendly as long as you are entering from 395 south and exiting in the same direction. This location is a bit difficult if you need to leave and head north, if you do google maps is your friend as there is a back way out to a signal onto 395 north.

After leaving Lake Tahoe we need a place to fuel up along the way so we decided to stop in at this gas station. What pulled us into the station was the fact that it was a Chevron station. This is important because in our travels we found it to me reliable gas not cheap by any means.
The pumps here were quick, the staff was very polite, and the bathrooms were extremely clean which was a plus. Even though it was a busy time of day we didn’t have to wait in line to fuel up. The convenience store also had a great selection of items and overall the gas station was easily accessible.
In the end we thoroughly enjoyed our stop here and would say that this is a perfect station to stop at during a long road trip. Unlike others in the area it had everything you needed and more but you made this stop really great.

I went through the touchless car wash on January 14^th (cost $ 10.00) and after I left to drive home I noticed that the liquid that I thought was WATER which was still left on my car actually turned out to be soap when it dried. I live at the Lake, so I went ahead and drove home. It took eighteen quarters at the local car wash for me to finally to get the soap off. I won’t be doing THAT again.

Always stop by this Chevron on my route from Reno to South Lake Tahoe (and back). Always seem to encounter a cashier who is friendly. There’s lots of space so you can fiddle with your chains. Their bathrooms are always very clean. It’s become a habit for me now, to go to this one.

Pricey, but you are getting Name Brand Chevron Gas With Techron and not, well, some other gas. Plus, It’s run by the Terrible Herbst Oil Company, which is a cool name. Well stocked store, clean, easy in and out if you’re heading south on 395, and much less crowded than the much cheaper Arco station a block or two away, where the very dregs of society gather in long lines to pump gas into their worn-​out cars using the socialist, common ATM-​only card access. Terrible’s pumps have custom, individual credit card receptacles built into each pump, and you will meet only the finest citizens there, refueling their shiny cars.

This is about as good as a gas station gets, cheap gas (compared to lake), touchless car wash, munchies, clean bathrooms, and even slots of your so inclined.

This was the first time that I have stopped here. I was really glad that they were open past eleven. This Gas station is relatively new, and still looks really new. It’s a Chevron so the gas isn’t really cheap, but the guy who was working was really nice. The bathrooms were extremely clean which is rare for gas stations.

Stop here most mornings on the way to work. Not much more than just a convenience store. Coffee is always good. Wish they had a few more condiments for the coffee though. The people are nice and they carry spitz seeds. Clean place of course cause it’s new. Good parking for larger trucks and easy in and out. Parking may get worse as the little strip mall gets more tenants.
