Great place for the community to get together and have a cup of coffee with some great service and food.

Given the Kozy Inn has been around for decades, I am not sure why it has no other Unilocal reviews. Perhaps the local clientele doesn’t feel there’s need for people to know about it. The restaurant certainly does have its share of regulars which was apparent when I visited for breakfast. The place is clean and bright and has the small town feel one would expect. The décor apparently hasn’t changed since the place first opened. I learned from a local that it looks exactly the same since the early seventies except that the booths no longer have individual juke boxes. I suspect the décor in the ladies room may have changed as there is a sign in it stating, «Please leave the decorations for others to enjoy.» The toy cars on display in the men’s room are all glued down — I checked. Like the restaurant, the food is no-frills but a perfectly adequate down-home breakfast. I was quite pleased with my corn beef hash omelet. I was also pleasantly surprised to see the waitress piping real whipped cream into a mug of hot chocolate. If Kozy Inn was located in a larger city, it may have received a lower rating. However, the restaurant is ideal for Carson City delivering small town hospitality and good olé’ American breakfasts.
