Pawz Plus

Took care of my boy for 7 days while I was in town at a convention. Luke had a great time and I could tell he had been well taken care of while there. I would use this place again in a minute. We both were happy campers.

I sat in the backseat, patiently awaiting our arrival to, what I was intensely confident would be, the vet. We pulled up in front of an unfamiliar building, instantly rendering my heart rate to a sustainably normal pulse, now knowing my life would not be altered by the man in the white coat. Disoriented by our location, I was led up a set of stairs and brought into a room filled with other dogs, none of whom seemed the least bit concerned of their surroundings. There were comforting rooms with small dogs sleeping soundly, not a worry in the world. Others, still tethered to their humans, were crowding a wall with what seemed to be some kind of portal mounted on it; a gateway to, what sounded like, an epic party. I snooped the lobby and saw a friendly face; it was Rosco, my neighbor. His owners were into taking vacations and I had always wondered how he was able to handle the infinite long distance car rides without losing his body weight in vomit. Turns out Roscoe bribed his humans into dropping him off at a resort before they hit the road. You evil genius. He went on to tell of the rejoicing bounty of play and sun and euphoria that awaited me at the wonderland… just beyond the portal.
After a few moments of talking to the incredibly good looking short blonde human behind the counter, my owner released my bonding line and the smoking hot short blonde human led me towards the portal. The sound of the party got loud as I approached; the door swung open… I blacked out.
I awoke several minutes later in a daze. The smile on my face had caused a soreness that only a nap could soothe. My fur was wet and smelled like flowers and sunshine. What had happened? Was this heaven? Had I died? I stood to see a heard of other dogs standing around me staring.
«You alright bro?» said a Collie named Randy
«I think so», I responded
«You partied pretty hard for a first timer man, take it easy, this place isn’t going anywhere. You’ll have plenty of time to take it all in», he assuredly spoke, his voice wise and raspy, like the love child of Morgan Freeman and Patti Smith. «Everyone gets pumped the first time. Welcome to the party hombre.»
I wandered the yard. It was vast and disorienting with its’ incredible stock of toys and cool-​water pools. In the distance I heard a magnificent acapella of radiating female woofs and whines… there were girls here. I spent hours roaming the grounds with my new companions, smelling the hauntingly wonderful smells of the east fence, the sweet fragrance of honeysuckles to the north, a musky and deliberately irritating smell that was Dingo, the ignorant Yorkie from Albany. This place had character. It had camaraderie. I could poop anywhere. It was superb.
A few hours later my human returned. The sexy short blonde lady gently tethered me and together we walked back through the portal to the front room. Roscoe had gone home, his owners had obviously returned from their adventure. My owner looked worried and excited all at once. It was good to see her after a long day that seemed to pass in the blink of an eye. She walked me outside and back down the stairway and into the car. I watched the building turn into a parking lot, then into a street, then into a highway. What had happened? What was this brilliant experience?
«I hope you liked it», said my owner. «You get to go back two more times this week!»
My heart fluttered as my body succumbed to the joyous exhaustion of this illustrious experience. I slept. Today was the best day ever.

Brought Coco in for several daycare socializing times. Fantastic… Coco was learning how to behave with other dogs after having a couple of severe incidents when she was 6 months old at local dog parks where careless dog people were and are totally IMO stupid and blind about their dog’s behaviors and manners.

We took our year old lab to Paws Plus after reading the reviews. We didn’t want to kennel her and when we found out it is a doggie daycare we were thrilled. She had such a good time there! We were able to go away for six days and not have to worry about her. We highly recommend Paws Plus! We’ll definitely use them again!

My dog was a little scared to go here at first. Now she can not contain herself when we pull up. She loves it. The staff is always nice and I feel like they really like my dog.

I recently dropped my dogs off in the afternoon at 2:30 and picked them up at 2:30 the next day and was charged for 2 days! I was informed at pickup that I needed to pick them up by 11 am to be concidered a one day stay! Why didn’t they say that when I dropped them off? I spoke to the owner about this and she was very rude to me! We have lived many places and have used kennels all over and have never been treated this way! I will NEVER use them again!

My silky terrier Parker just loves this place. When we get to the door his little tail is wagging like crazy! He has such a good time that they practically have to drag him back out :) I love how happy he is when I pick him up!

There are very few people I trust my dog with, and Melanie and the gang are number one in my book. We bring our Cairn in for both boarding and weekly «day care.» And our dog absolutely loves it here; its like a second home for him.

Pawz Plus was my sole pup-​sitting choice when I worked in Carson. They get booked fast and have no problem letting you know when they are full. They will not over-​book or stuff more dogs into the facility than comfortable.
I would leave my dog here when I would go away for a week at a time for work and also for any personal trips that I couldn’t take him with. They offer to feed him (luckily they use the same food I do) and they’ll take his bed so he has a little bit of home with him. I have only recently returned to NV so I have not had the opportunity to use their services in about 2 years. But after recently looking up dog boarding services, I couldn’t let Pawz Plus go without a review!
Oh, and my dog loves the wading pools they put outside too keep the dogs cool when it’s hot out!
I totally recommend this place, it’s close to downtown Carson and makes for convenient pick up and drop off. Make sure to call about their hours… it has been so long, I’m afraid they may have changed since I was last there.
