For the last few years my vision had been getting blurrier and I’d started to have trouble reading– once I had to start holding my phone at different distances just to read a text I got really worried. I rely on my vision for so much of my job and the rest of my life, so this had me pretty freaked out. I went to Dr. Seljestad and not only did he outfit me with glasses, but he took the time to explain to me everything he was doing and everything that was happening to my vision. He reassured me that what I was experiencing was a natural part of aging and that it wasn’t going to threaten my future– I just needed some glasses to use on occasion! When I picked up the glasses from CostCo I was so excited I started running around reading all the small print on labels all over the store– it was an amazing relief. I’ve had my glasses for about a year now and pretty much every time I take them out of their case I’m grateful for Dr. Seljestad’s kind demeanor, his knowledge and his ability to explain everything so clearly and reassuringly. My advice– deal with your eyesight immediately and go see Dr. Seljestad.

I’ve had glasses since i was 9 years old, I’ve been going to eye doctors every year since. Within 10 min Dr Seljestad had taught me things about my eyes that i never knew, He was incredibly knowledgeable and caring. I’ve never had an eye doctor that has the passion that he has for helping people! I recommend he to all my friends and family because i know he’ll take care of them and give them the best care!(even though I’m in reno, Its worth the drive!)

I am so happy with Dr. Seljested and the work he does at Costco in Carson City. He has caught things going on in my eyes that other OD’s have missed and has really tried to get me contact lenses that fit in with my lifestyle. When I had a problem with a certain brand, I got right into the office to get a new set of contacts and a new prescription for the new brand. You may not think customer service is important when getting your eyes checked but it really makes a difference to be able to pick up the phone and call their office when you need something and to have a nice, friendly voice on the other end willing to help you out.
