My family and I tried it when it was newly open. My wife, being a big fan of phở, was hoping that this place would be as good as the food she had in San Diego. We were all disappointed. The food was, as I read in another review, not worth finishing. The service was not worth complimenting. My wife left still wishing we could find a place in Carson that was up to par, and I left irritated because I was still hungry. Maybe it will improve as time goes on. It did not start off on a good foot, for sure.

We ate here a few weekends ago and we’re surprised how much we enjoyed our lunch after reading some of the reviews. The cons, restaurant is a little small and lacking character, the service was a little slow for not being very busy, would have liked more fresh herbs to accompany our meals. The pros, it was a lot better than the other Vietnamese restaurant in town that we had tried… The Bbq pork and egg rolls on the Bun were awesome !! My husband loved his Phở. We will definitely go back. We each ordered what we usually order at Vietnamese restaurants to test it out. Now looking forward to explore the menu and little further.

This place. Ugh. I found myself stuck in Carson City today for work and wanted to find something that wasnt fast food, but also not something that would take all day. I saw this spot and was very happy because I love Vietnamese food. I realized they’re the same as the one’s that used to be Shopper’s Square in Reno. The one in Reno was awful, but got much better in the end, so I figured my odds were 50⁄50. This place was AWFUL. Just… awful. Service sucked(was just me and one other person) and the food(pork and egg roll bun) was the worst I’ve ever had. Anywhere. I didnt even finish it. Im gonna need to get some good Vietnamese this weekend just to get that taste out of my mouth

I order their beef banh mi sandwich all the time. I haven’t tried much of their other food, the banh mi sandwich is delicious and fresh! My only complaint would be just a little more meat but flavor is still on point! I’ve never had any complaints about the employees, all are very friendly from my experiences.

My husband and I ate here for the first and last time. The food sucked! There was nothing authentic about the cuisine. Everything tasted like it was dipped in sugar. The man who was waiting tables smelled like he was sweating curry from every pore on his body. The only thing redeeming was that the service was fast. However, even that sucked because it meant that we had to smell him more frequently. I thought I was going to throw up! Don’t go there if you have a weak stomach. Oh, and the chairs were not comfortable.

I’m not sure what their problem was today. I ordered the number 26, noodle salad with egg rolls. Not sure what they brought me, but it wasn’t that. Then she had to argue with me that that was what I ordered. Had to ask for a menu to prove to her what the #26 was. Then, when I got it, there wasn’t a noodle longer than 1 inch. I’ve never had it chopped up like that, not even here. You know how hard it is to eat noodles that little? I ate it because I was hungry and didn’t have time to go somewhere else. But I won’t be back. I’ll drive a little further to Phở Country where the food is better anyway.

It was a very good surprised! The food was just been done perfect! The cost was on the higher side and the service was not the best but only because the place was very busy, any how the employees were nice to us.

It’s good at a decent price. The food is always pretty delicious, although sometimes when I order a dish there will be something missing. A few times I have ordered the seafood phở there were very few shrimp, and once I didn’t get any squid(which even though it is rubbery, i still love it and it’s partially crunchy texture). But I will say the owner is really nice, and a great guy. I’ve met him a few times and he really loves his restaurant. They always have great tasting Vietnamese food, although sometimes the order isn’t complete. Still, I love phở, and the food is tasty enough for me to overlook this small error. P.S The Vietnamese sandwich is amazing.

Great little place for a phở sandwich. Everything you want from the soup minus the soup. My favorite is the pork even though sometimes you get a fatty piece. The price is a little high for the sandwich, however they are great and I always go back. If you haven’t tried them do so, you will not be disappointed. They come in beef, chicken, pork, or tofu I believe. Wife loves the chicken.

I have been here twice now. Both times we were greeted and treated well by very friendly people. The food was really good. I had the papaya salad and it was light, fresh and flavorful. The old man got some beef, noodle arrangement in a bowl. He was quite pleased… and that’s always not easy to do with him. The prices are very reasonable too. This will definitely be our go to spot whenever we’re in Carson City.

For Carson City, NV this place goes above and beyond what a good Vietnamese Restaurant should be. I moved from Albuquerque, NM where there is a huge Vietnamese population and in some parts of town a Vietnamese restaurant on every block. I’ve had a hard time finding good Vietnamese food since I moved here especially in Carson(not a fan of Phở Country) and in Reno. But this place is A-OK in my book. It’s even better than most of the Vietnamese restaurants in Albuquerque.(if it’s not as Authentic as those places it makes up for it by being more delicious which is really all that matters) The ingredients are very fresh and high quality. You can get a nice healthy meal here or you can indulge yourself(and still be healthier than most places cause it’s still Vietnamese food) The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. The Banh Mi is great. Much more filling and hearty than they traditionally are which is a plus in my book. I usually get the same thing whenever I go to a Vietnamese restaurant though. I’ll get either a rice or vermicelli bowl stir-fried with BBQ Pork, Shrimp, and Egg Rolls. And an order of Spring Rolls. On all of those accounts Viet Phở does it right and satisfies my Vietnamese craving. You can usually get a good feel for if a Vietnamese restaurant is going to be good or not by how the Spring Rolls are since they come out first, and Viet Phở’s are excellent. I know there’s some things I would change to make it the perfect Vietnamese restaurant if there’s even such a thing but none of the are important enough to mention. This is the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in Nevada and I hope our community comes out to support these guys so we can keep them around for a long time!

Went here only once and i knew it that this place won’t be my favorite place eventhough i really craving for some vietnamese food, because here in carson, rarely to find Vietnamese food(was Genghix had a yummy BBQ pork with rice noodle but too bad they were closed now) Why? Because the taste of the food(my favorite one is BBQ pork with rice noodle) which was so not good, the rice noodle was very mushy, the BBQ pork was too dried, no flavor at all, too much veggies and rice noodles compare the pork. And the Phở was so bad, even can’t taste the broth, and again too much veggies My second reason is this place is wayyyy too small, i mean the gap for the seats are way too close each other, even if there is someone behind you, you won’t be able to stand up without not touch their chair. I just can’t stand the ambience while i wanted to enjoy my food. Now they said it’s under new management, i am not sure if it’s really new management or just their way to get more customers but for me, i won’t never come back here, no matter with new management, as long as way the chairs are too close, i don’t think i will be back

Although the space is utilitarian, the food is so tasty I’ve come here three times in one week! Owner, Richard, is a nice guy and the staff a bit shy. The menu has plenty to choose from. Phở has everything you expect in it and large bowls. I have enjoyed both the pineapple and the papaya versions of the shrimp and pork salad. Enough for two meals for me. Fresh. And tasty. Beautifully made. Colorful. See the picture I posted. A gem in Carson City, try them out. I hope they will win you over so we can keep them.
