Love it!!! Been looking for good Chinese food here and finally found it. Online menu and ordering is amazing and so helpful. Totally happy and will order again with NO doubt! We ordered online indicating«asap» for time and in the 10 minutes it took to get there our order was ready to go! Very affordable as well so another bonus!

I tried this place because they deliver. I order the sweet and sour pork dinner special and the general’s chicken dinner special, both with fried rice, as well as an order of foil-wrapped chicken. The fried rice tasted and looked like steamed rice lightly tossed in soy sauce. The spicy general’s chicken was spicy, though bland. I did not taste my daughter’s sweet and sour pork. The fried prawn that came with the meal was highly battered and lacked seasoning. The crab rangoon was burnt and had very little filling. The hot and sour soup was ok. The egg rolls tasted a little off — it tasted more like batter than anything else. The foil-wrapped chicken tasted burnt, and was also slightly dry. I had expected much better quality considering the reviews. Also, my stomach is now upset :( UPDATE: I spent the majority of my night experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. I will be contacting the Health Dept. Yang’s is great if you’re wanting a crash-diet! Not so great if you actually want to sleep.

I was feeling a little under the weather a week or so ago and I was at mt BF’s house and didn’t feel like going out, so we did something at Yang’s I’ve never done before… we did delivery of the Chinese food! I’m one who hardly ever does even take out, but delivery was what I needed that day. I thought the food would be a little colder than it would be compared to dining in and having the food piping hot right off the wok, but the food was still plenty hot. I figure I leave a tip either way, so deliver costs the same as dining in. Yang’s delivers for free with a $ 15.00 min. Calling in, the nice weekend lady Edith answers. She takes my order of Chicken Corn Soup, beef chow fun, tomato beef pan fried noodles and the house fried rice. I know, a little carb overload! She takes my credit card info and delivery address, and is very good to confirm each thing and repeats my order back. Tells me it’ll be about 1 hr as there’s a lot of deliveries. 45 minutes the door bell rings, and look who it is! Yang himself does the delivery. He cooks it and then brought it to the house, how’s that for service. I sign the charge slip and slip him some cash and we have dinner! All the dishes were just as good as eating in the restaurant, except for maybe the pan fried noodles were maybe not quite as crisp as when they come right out of the wok. But the soup was super hot as was all t he rest of the food. They only downside of delivery is I gotta do dishes! All the food was as good as it was at the restaurant. So, I guess my phobia of delivery was unfounded with Yang’s … pizza? That may be a different matter … cause I hate steamed pizza crust as it travels in that box! Deliver will be slower than just going to the restaurant and dining in, but delivery is sure convenient if you have the time.

I am so happy i found this place. By far one of the best chinese restaurants in carson city for lunch. The lunch specials they have are so cheap for the amount and quality of food you get. Very satisfying. I got the roasted duck with chow mien for lunch. The special comes with soup, crab rangoon, and eggroll as well. Love their chow mien! Entire plate was good enough for my lunch and dinner hehe Service was decent as well. They were very packed during lunch time and the place is fairly small. Though as busy as they were the host was able to attend to every table efficiently which i appreciate a lot. Definitely try this place out. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Simply gross. I didn’t mind the wonton soup, but the beef low mein was terrible, as was the teriyaki chicken.

They were open on Christmas day and truly, truly grateful to serve us. The food was in my opinion, the best Chinese food I’ve had in years.

For my first visit, it was a-ok. I ordered a lunch special(shrimp chow mein for around $ 7.25?), I knew I’d have to have any leftovers in a car for an hour or two and didn’t really want a big meal of food sitting around by ordering a la cart. The shrimp were good in the chow mein, cooked just right, although right on the cusp of possibly being too soft from maybe a cornstarch marinade for tenderness. The rice was not fried enough for me, but it is a lunch special. The egg flower soup while nice and thick, was pretty bland too, even with soy sauce. The fried sides(Rangoon and spring roll), were nothing fancy, but tasted good regardless. If I’m in the area I would come again for pan fried noodles and house fried rice, and maybe some of the more authentic items. I didn’t have a lot of time, or money to be able to experiement this visit so I’m not writing them off completely. FYI: this is attached to a tea shop as well. And they unforuntuaely have a bit of the sterotypical«Chinese food sticky table» syndrome.

Horrible customer service. I called a delivery order and the lady said she was to busy to split my bill. Their always in a rush you when you order. Don’t get me wrong the food is pretty good but the customer service sucks. One time the lady just walked into my house for a delivery order. NOTCOOL!

Yesterday, we went down to the Saturday Farmers Market in Carson City and stopped by Yang’s on the way out of town. These owners make real Chinese food and hope you enjoy it. We did the luncheon special on a Saturday. I can’t wait to go back and order off the rest of the menu.

This is a great place for lunch! The staff are friendly and the food is authentic. I usually order a plate of pork friend rice for lunch and it’s always made fresh. One interesting thing is thst it shares the building with a sushi and bar joint. Working on main street Carson City makes this place easy to walk to during my lunch break. When I call my order in, it’s ready by the time I get there.

This place has great food and a ‘home’ atmosphere. For the prices you can’t ask for a better experience.

Really a 3.5. Ambience is non-existent, but I can overlook that, even if it means one of the kitchen staff is sitting in the dining area happily hand-rolling dozens of fresh egg rolls. At least you know they are made from scratch! I wasn’t that hungry, so I chose the dim sum BBQ pork buns, which are similar to the Filipino siao pao. Pretty tasty and less than $ 5 for four of them. Lots of Chinese folks here eating, which usually is a good sign when they outnumber the gringos. I’ll come back and try their soups.
