Short rib plate, good meat and sauce but too burnt Tocino was good, delicious pork belly bacon and eggs, but was pretty basic. Coconut shrimp was pretty bomb, best dish from this truck!

Had this truck for the Filipino-American Friendship day 4th of July party and their coconut shrimp was killer amazing. I’ve never had it this good before. The Katsu plate was amazing, too. I was hesitant because macaroni salad at island spots always had too much mayo but this truck has the perfect amount, not too creamy, not too sweet. That dipping sauce for the katsu was by far one of the best sauces ever invented. I hate you, I hate you because it was so good. So by hate you I mean I Iove you. These three Samoan men can cook for me any day of the week.

We ordered two plates, the spicy shrimp and the paradise short ribs. The ribs were seasoned okay, but mostly gristle. The shrimp was spicey enough but kind of had a generic pepper kind of taste. I don’t know if the quality declined or something, but it definitely wasn’t anything impressive. White rice and some macaroni salad failed to really fill out the plate.

Great Food!!! My favorite is the macaroni salad. It’s light and flavorful. I could eat it everyday. The coconut shrimp is nicely cooked. Not too sweet like some coconut shrimp. My mom likes the short ribs. She likes the chicken but wishes the teriyaki was dark meat. The people on the truck are friendly. I enjoy when King’s corner shows up at events.

miracle mile, why are you so frustrating at lunch time? filled with truck after truck after truck, it stumped my on what i wanted to eat. i wanted it all, but settled on kings corner. why? … LOCOMOCO. need i say more? possibly one of the most carby, meat laden, cholesterol inducing meal. just thinking about it i can feel my coronary arteries hardening with all that delicious fattyness. loco moco: 2MOUNDS of white rice topped by two awesomely cooked hamburger patties oh so lovingly smothered with gravy, and then topped with perfectly cooked over easy eggs. the best part of all this? cutting open the eggs and seeing that molten golden yolky sunshine ooze out over everything. not convinced? see the attached picture. the loco moco was great. the gravy was a bit on the thicker side; im used to a thinner gravy to mix everything together, but i didnt complain. the hamburger was actually pretty tasty on its own and everything combined was heaven. i got the side of sauteed veggies to try to balance out the brick of meat and rice and eggs. it barely made a dent. the veggies were cooked al dente and tasty with garlic, but eh, forgettable. kings corner, i wish you could just show up whenever i get drunk. i think youd be the best to fill my alcohol filled belly… or be delicious hangover food. so, would i come again? sure.

Just tried out the new Kings Corner on Wheels last night in Historic Filipinotown. Met the cool guys running this food truck along with the Mom of the operation. Awesome customer service and great portions/pricing for plate lunch. I had the Hibachi garlic shrimp plate, which had plenty of shrimp! Also saw a friend enjoying the loco moco plate lunch– massive portions! Two scoops of rice, 2 over-easy eggs, and 2 large hamburger patties smothered in gravy. Ono eats!
