Love getting a mani/​pedi after a long day at work! Cathy is awesome, no matter how late it is she still takes her time and does such a great job on both my gel manicure and pedicure.

Kevin did a nice job shaping my nails but insisted on using some substandard glitter gel that looked like crap ! Then when I called to make appointment with him he was flat out rude… and with such attitude… He said I needed to ‘be more careful and book two weeks in advance’ that might not sound bad but you needed to hear the tone of voice and the attitude !!! Again… No prices posted and extra charges tacked on… Oh… And I don’t skimp on the tip when someone dies a nice job like some of my friends do. This place is 3 minutes from my house which was a plus, however I don’t need someone who acts like an ass to do my nails…

I called 30 min before they closed, and they were able to take me in! I got gel manicure and french manicure for only $ 40! They were nice and didnt chatter so much by asking me questions like other nail shops.

First of all they were closing then said ok well only do a pedicure which thats all i wanted for me, my sister and my niece, then they start asking u want manicure we told then no like 10 times it was annoying… Then they did a shitty job painting my sisters toes thats why they didnt get tipped… We wouldn’t come here again and all they do is talk there stupid ass language which is rude. We just came here cause we were in the area but well stay where we usually go which is Nail place in Gardena Vincent and Cathy are the best there and arent rude like these idiots

Kevin is king!!! I have never posted on Unilocal but after 7 years I thought it was time. If Kevin isnt available. ask for Hannah. Everyone is awesome here and you wont get a better set of nails anywhere!!! Its not an accident Kevin is usually booked… I happpened to get lucky today and my nails are perfection!!!

No prices posted anywhere! Beware! You will pay for everything! Soda, water, toilet paper, air… Kevin does good work but too talented to be here.

Kool nails has been my place for about 2 years, I recommended alot of people to this place. I don’t do my eyebrows anywhere else because I love my eyebrow lady, Qui. I don’t have any complains about her, she’s awesome! Like some of you guys have mentioned here about the massage chairs, they charge you extra but never actually turn them on! Especially if you’re getting a mani/​pedi, Bevause the chair will shake your hand and it won’t be easy for who ever is doing your nails. they rush thru the whole thing just to finish and get to the next person. I went there about 2 weeks ago, last time I will ever get my nails done at this place! I wish I knew the guys name that did my nails! He’s one of the 3 that work there, it for sure isnt Kevin, all I remember is that he wore alot of rings. This guy was rushing thru my whole pedi and cut me 3 TIMES! I’ve gotten cut here before but nothing like that day! Everyone knows that the little cuts hurt like crap, and 3 times is even worse! While he was cutting my cuticles on my little toe, he cut me so bad, the cut wouldn’t stop bleeding and he kept applying that disinfecting spray, which made it hurt worse and had to wait for it to stop bleeding for him to put the nail polish on. He then tried to blame me «for having alot of dry skin» which was a total lie because I had just gotten my toes done 2 weeks before. The cut was bad! He then offered me free design, which I refused because I just don’t like design. When I was about to pay, he was charging me the usual and i said, you really aren’t gonna give me a discount after cutting me so much? He then gave me $ 5 off. Which I found unfair. I really didnt mind all the other times they have cut me, because I just had gotten use to always get a little cut whenever I got my nails done here, but this one drew the line. I’m never going back to this place for my nails.

I went here today to have a mani-​pedi and wax. Mani-​pedi was fine, the lady that did my pedi was nice, didnt talk much but did a good job. But the lady that did my mani was so pushy, she keeps pushing this new gel polish they have even when i said no the first time. Then she also did my wax, i wanted to get my underarms, eyebrows and legs done but after what she did to my underarms i said thats it– i have had underarm waxing in the past at different salons and also once with them but today was different. Im not sure if she put too much wax or if she was just not used to waxing, but when she pulled that paper it was like she was skinning me. When she was done (and i was on the verge of crying) she sprayed toner and didnt say sorry until i said i was not gonna do the other parts. And when i was about to leave, i looked at my underarms and they were all bruised up. I showed it to her and to another lady and she was like «ohhh its gonna be ok, its nothing.» it is not nothing and im hoping it will be ok in a couple days but im not going back there again.

What else can I say but, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my nails!!! Kevin made my nails bomb .com! I brought a picture in with a piece of 3d art I wanted. He did it even better than the picture! Kool Nails will now be my permanent spot!

Perks-​they offer water and free soda.
Negatives-​LIke many other shady nail shops they don’t tell you that they charge extra for certain things like french tip and $ 2 to use your debit card. $ 2!!! FAIL.
I asked for a pedicure (the regular one) since I had clothes drying at the laundromat next door and didn’t have time to enjoy a «spa pedicure.» I opted for the $ 2 cheaper option. Despite their pushing towards the more expensive services I was firm on my decision.
The girl was quick and efficient but once I went to pay, all went to sh*^%. They basically ended up charging me the cost of the «spa pedicure.» From what I understand about VISA and their merchant services policies, they are not allowed to charge me the extra $ 2!
Needless to say, I will pretty much never go back and if YOU decide you do, MAKE SURE YOU BRING CASH. AND ASK IF THEY CHARGE FOR BREATHING CAUSE THEY’LL FIND A WAY TO CHARGE YOU EXTRA FOR ANYTHING!!!

I had some time to kill and I thought I’d come here and get a spa pedicure. I didn’t set an appointment. I thought I’d check this place out; and since it was only 10:30am on a week day, I thought I’d be safe.
When I walked in, there were only 3 customers in the entire place. I asked if I could get a spa pedicure and only one lady responded to me. Everyone else seemed to ignore me except for her, but she was really nice. I picked my color and she immediately sat me down on one of those fancy chairs with the the foot spas and the massagers.
I sat down and after I saw that they cleaned the foot tub thoroughly, my pedicurist got to work.
The lady I got was pretty thorough. I thought she did a good job with cleaning and trimming. She was really gentle and she worked pretty fast.
The one thing that irked me was that she didn’t help me turn on my massager. My chair was broken so it didn’t work. They also didn’t offer me a magazine to read. Luckily I had my book in my purse to keep me from getting bored.
Overall I give this place a 3 stars. I may not have got my chair massage or a magazine, but I was happy with the way my nails turned out and the price was fair. I’ll probably be back.

Soooooo after visiting this place a few times I was really please. They offer you soda or water while your waiting and getting your service done. The only thing that killed me was my sister went in for a spa pedicure and was waiting for a chair to open up and some lady left and she was say there and the nail shop lady started filling the tub and turned on the bubbles and my sister kindly asked her to clean the tub because it had not been clean and the lady got MAD!!! Yes I guess she’s not up to date on all the shit people can carry on their feet. Long story short the lady was pissed and gave my sister a janky pedicure… The nail techs get down their work is good and they can come up with some pretty cool stuff but… NOT WASHING THE TUB AFTER EACH PERSON USES IT REALLY KILLED IT FOR ME!
