Price was fair, nice plate but very little chicken probably like 8 pieces of chicken on my plate. Nothing special about the food. Won’t be returning.

Who knew this place had good sushi. For a fast food sushi joint this place is pretty good. My husband got the chicken plate with rice and noodle salad, My kidr got the kids meal with rice and pot stickers. i got firecracker roll(i believe it was called). Spicy tuna, spicy mustard and salmon on top. Like I said I was thoroughly impressed because I am not a fan of fast food sushi, but it tasted fresh, rice was just fine, not overcooked or stale, They seem to have good lunch specials so I will have to hit this place up for lunch and review that.

The grilled chicken salad is delicious. Ask for the jalapenos and the ginger. it gives it an extra kick. Very refreshing.

Was excited for sushi in Carson area. Well. that was short lived. Pricing is super cheap but every roll special is basically a California roll with something on it to cover up a boring California roll. I like the names like Hawaiian roll and Washington roll but nothing special. Nice fresh salad sides that come with your inexpensive 7.99 to 9.99 lunch special roll. Way too much rice on the rolls that I was cutting some off. No flavor in the spicy tuna roll and my girlfriend had another roll that was fat with rice. Clean cute interior and definitely fast food style where you order at the counter. Nice customer service but the quality is blah. Sushi for 20 bucks for 2… what do we expect. Still better than eating fast food. Maybe try the bento boxes instead.

You absolutely have to try the oriental salad. It has greens and amazing sesame sauce mandarins Almonds and if you get chicken with this it’s amazing. Their miso soup is OK. The presentation of these dishes though is exactly what sets it apart from other eateries in the mall. In my opinion this is the classiest place to eat at this mall. Enjoy

Food good, expensive to get full– my biggest issue with every type of these places is they do not give you more than 20g of protein I even brought a food scale with me to check — it was good but cost me 20 bucks for a roll and a handful of rice and chicken

Ate here for the first time and my experience was great. The food was really good and well priced. The chicken was extremely tender and had a nice flavor. The California roll was so good. The rice was just perfect. The tempura was good and the dipping sauce for it was amazing. The customer service was good too. The woman who took our orders was really nice. I’ll definitely be back.

Nayelli is probably the nicest person ever! Her service is beyond awesome, and she is probably one of the reasons why I keep visiting this location. Sushi is also very yummy.

We ordered the The dragon roll, spicy tuna roll, eel California roll, and for a $ 1 more each we got 2 salads(oriental and seaweed cucumber salad). Dragon roll — 5stars Spicy tuna — 2stars bland and not super fresh Eel California roll — 3 stars it was ok but nothing special Oriental salad — 2stars Seaweed cucumber salad — 4stars Overall if you’re craving sushi it does the job. Fair pricing. Our rolls were not«rolled tight» so it was hard to eat… which we had to eat by hand which was not fun because it’s sushi and you want to eat it with chopsticks. Not the best sushi spot but I’m glad we have a sushi place in the area.

ABSOLUTELYFABULOUS — & the staff is super friendly xo

I’ve come here on multiple occasions and let me tell you. There’s only one thing on the menu worth getting: their Chicken Udon. I know, totally random, right? You’d think it’d be nasty and watered down at a grab-and-go place like this but it’s literally the best chicken udon I’ve ever had. It comes in a hot flavorful broth and the noodles are always chewy and fresh. They put in the same grilled chicken from their teriyaki chicken dish right into the soup. It comes with a generous portion of seaweed and green onions. I really love getting it when the weather’s a bit chillier. I’ve tried a bite of my coworker’s sushi during our lunch break and, as expected, it’s gross. It’s sloppy and falling apart. The fish is old and hard. If you’re a sushi snob you’ll absolutely despise this place. Other than that, just wanted to mention if you’re an udon lover, get the chicken udon for sure. Also, side salads are not bad. I love tart little salads. I like the seaweed one that comes with cilantro, cucumbers and bell peppers the most. The vibe is very casual and lots of lunch-goers are professionals in the area getting a quick bite. I have to say though, there are always some weirdos eating here. The last time I was eating here a physical fight literally broke out between two grown women. It was really awkward for the rest of us. Service is no good(non-existent). You order from a cashier and pay first, then wait for your food to be prepared. When it’s ready you pick it up from the counter yourself on a tray. Sometimes this is a bit of a mission as the floors are slippery and I’m always in heels(I come from work). Then when you’re done you bust your own table by throwing out your leftover food into a big garbage can and stacking your bowls and plates among other customers’ dirty dishes. Not a cute experience at all, so don’t intend on bringing bae here. Only here for dat chicken udon.

I have been the this location 2x. I work very close to this location which makes it very convenient. I normally bring my own lunch but when I do decide to go out I have been coming to grab a bite here. I like it because it is very fresh, affordable, and the quality and good. I can call in my order and have it ready for pick up. I appreciate that I can expect the same things here. I went to a different location in Lakewood and was disappointed when they did not have my Thai Noodle Salad. I walked in just for that and was told they change their salads everyday(lame). I love Thai Noodle salad is taste so light but is filling. Great services, everyone is smiling and willing to help people out.

I enjoy coming to San Sai the food is really good and priced to fit anyone’s budget. I usually get the spicy chicken plate or bowl, depending how hungry I am. The food is a good portion and at a even better price! The staff here is really nice and friendly. The place itself is nice and has a casual feel. The place is always clean. It is close to CSUDH so it’s a big plus for students trying to get good food or for someone that is going to an event at the stub hub center. Check it out you won’t be disappointed.

The price is good when ordering the whole meal that comes with two salads at a time and whatever sushi option you want. The rice does not seem fresh to me for some reason of course that’s my opinion. The staff are friendly and very helpful as well. It gets really, really busy. They have several tables inside as well as outside.

Umm I guess… Was the feeling I was having when my co-workers thought sushi was a good idea for lunch! To be honest I was starving and made the MONUMENTIALMISTAKE in saying…“I don’t care where we eat”. They too me at face value and next thing I knew we were walking in the door here. See that is what I get for not having an opinion. So for all ya’ll know it alls, out there that think I am TOOOPINIONATED… YOUARERIGHT! Because when I’m NOT things like this happen to me. So we walk in and I notice a bunch of salads that don’t look all that much like they belong in a SUSHI place. The menu was a pretty big and I was trying to stick with something NON-COMPLICATED because I didn’t want to be disappointed at the fast food sushi style place. I checked out the menu and saw I could get a side salad so I got the Thai noodle salad that look mildly interesting and I figured it would be good. I also got a salmon roll and a drink. My two coworkers pretty much followed suit and got a salad and some sushi. One got the same salad as me with California rolls and the other I have no idea. The place was packed and by it being lunch time parking was a bit frightful being this place is at a mall and surrounded by other eateries. We found a place to sit and eat and waited for outnumber to be called to go pick up our sushi. Soon our numbers were called one by one and we went up to collect our food. They use real plates for the sushi but they have those HORRID wooden chop sticks that I really can’t stand. I guess they figure people would try and steal the plastic ones. I asked for eel sauce and surprisingly they had it and put some in a little container for me. We all unwrapped our chop sticks and commenced to eating. The salad was meh and really had not taste. I added some eel sauce to give it something interesting but it REALLY could help that sad Thai noodle salad. The salmon sushi was lack luster. It tasted ok but REALLYNOTHING memorable. I was just hoping NOTTO get sick off this meal. No one commented how good their food was and I didn’t so much as hear a umm, or yum. Just BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! I will say the SERVICE was FRIENDLY and they were quick to try and get people in and out! They also try and keep the place clean and well stocked of salads since they are in a display window. There is an inside and outside mini patio are you can eat at. They have bottled drinks and fountain drinks and there is a station for soy sauce both low salt and regular and something spicy that you can use as well. Plenty of chop sticks and forks so you can help yourself with that as well. I can’t say I will EVER be back. It was an experience, I had it and now it’s over. Even for quick lunch sushi it REALLY wasn’t all THATGOOD! I rater go to a real sushi place for sushi and avoid the meh and blah taste.

I tried their Caterpillar roll today for lunch. It comes with 10 pieces for $ 8.50. There’s lots of rice, surimi inside, a little bit of cucumber, a sliver of eel, and avocado on top. I wish the pieces of eel were thicker. The salads look good and they have teriyaki too. Only one size for drinks which cost $ 2. Overall A-OK.
