Love Gwen! my face was really a mess! I couldn’t stop using steroids on my face or it would burn and get red/​really dry on my cheeks. My cousin told me about this place and Gwen was very patient and always willing to help me. She got my face off of steroids in about two weeks. I still can’t believe that I don’t have to use cortisone 10 anymore, it was really a nightmare for years! I had even went to a dermatologist and even they couldn’t get me these results and that was after purchasing $ 50 antibiotic pills that did nothing but hurt my stomach! Love Skin of Essence :)

I walked in today to try body polish treatment. They fit me in the schedule took me in right away! The front desk staff was very friendly. Diamond the receptionist was very knowable of the services and gave me great advice on a skin treatment that would fit my needs! From diamond recommendations I received the face and body polish. Gwen did my face and body polish. She was great and explained what she did and gave me tips on how to keep a healthy glow. I never had a face polish and it was great it left my face glowing. The polish gave left my skin feeling smooth and the hair with a blond hue. Great experience and customer service. Diamond even gave me a sample of their face bar soap. I can’t wait to try it!

I’ve been a customer off and on for years but recently I’ve been going to my dermatologist for more aggressive treatment. But since I received an email advertising microdermabrasion for $ 49 (reg $ 75), I couldn’t resist. Besides that, I wanted to treat my mom to an anti-​aging facial for her birthday. I should’ve known not to bother since when I called to book, I left a message, but no one called me back. So, the next day I went to the spa in person to schedule. The owner happened to be there so I let her know about the scheduling issue. She apologized and ensured I got booked. 1 esthetician was assigned to me & 1 to my mom, or so I was told. My mom’s and my appointments were scheduled for 12pm and that’s what time we arrived however we sat in the waiting area for 20 minutes. The receptionist offered us drinks but forgot to get them, she eventually did remember. Finally, my esthetician (who didn’t introduce herself) asked me what service I was getting (as if it wasn’t written on the schedule or the sign in sheet) led me to a treatment room where there was a gown that I presume was for me to change into (she didn’t say) & she told me she’d be right back. I was sitting there a good 15min before she returned. She mentioned that she’d also be doing my mom’s facial. I asked her if that’s why my mom was still waiting in the reception area. She said that no rooms were available. I wish I would’ve been informed of this unavailability when they set the appointment. I informed her that another esthetician, Gwen, was supposed to take care of my mom. My esthetician said she’d have Gwen to service my mom and she left the room. Upon her return, she began the treatment. I informed her that this was my 1^st microdermabrasion, hoping she’d explain it a bit but she just kinda rushed through it. She answered my specific questions though. Once she primed my face for the actual procedure, she told me my face had to dry completely or the procedure could cause damage. So she left the room for a loooong time because I guess it takes forever for my face to dry even though the process could’ve been sped up if she used the fan that she used earlier. I ended up falling asleep each time she left the room because she was gone so long. The procedure itself didn’t even take that long so I was shocked that it was after 2pm when we left. I was more than ready to go but was delayed even further because I had to stand there and listen to another unhappy customer complain to the receptionist about them not even having her scheduled despite being told over the phone that she had an appointment! Obviously, I’m not the only having these issues. On top of that, the receptionist tried to overcharge me because she «forgot» about the promotional price. What was supposed to be an enjoyable, relaxing experience and a nice surprise for my mom turned out to be tedious and time consuming.

Great service and reasonable prices! They’re products are amazing. You cannot resist the client appreciation days. You basically get half off on services and products. The only downside is how long you are there.

I have been going to skin essence in carson for approx 2 months, the lady’s at skin essence treated me with tenderness, care, love and respect my skin had large boils. I was in so much pain and distress, now my skin is in the healing stage I can now look in the mirror and smile instead of crying.
