Hearty breakfast place and neat board with handwritten menu. I enjoy drinking out of real mugs it’s like eating at someone’s grandmas house. The reviews are some true it’s hit and miss and the food is real heavy. Cartersville is full of fried heavy southern food and this place is pretty cheap and good

I avoid this place because its not clean and the food is unhealthy, overcooked, and just doesn’t taste good.

Cody J’s has the most AMAZING Summer Salad!!! Nice crisp lettuce with Cranraisins, pecans, strawberries a hint of cheese and the BEST Strawberry Vinaigrette dressing that they make there! If for nothing else you need to stop in and get this salad! I sure miss it when the weather starts to get cold but they have other amazing salads for different seasons!

Small friendly diner full of down home goodness. I have been dining here for the last twenty years and love it. Daily meat and two/three and great desserts. You can also order off the menu. Open Monday-Friday from 6 – 2. Also open Wednesday and Thursday until 9pm.

Cody J’s is one of those places that just makes you feel good. The food isn’t stellar by any means, but if you are in the mood for something close to what your momma made, this is the place to go. The breakfast special is the best. I always get fried bologna(2 pieces included), a homemade biscuit, peppered white gravy, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and coffee. I think the special has gone up recently by a dollar or two, but all of that food used to be $ 3.99! Even at $ 5.99, you can’t beat it. Dinner is also good, but you have to call ahead to know what is being served. There is usually a choice of three or four main dishes such as pork chops, fried chicken, and lasagna, several sides, and a few desserts/cobblers. Only open for breakfast and lunch during the week, except dinner is also served on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
