LIGHTING THE WAY!
Darlene is a sweetheart. It was such a pleasure visiting with her and just talking to her about random things and her art. During the time that I visited with her I noticed that she created lighted jars painted with various scenes. The jars and bottles were of various colors, sizes and shapes. They showcased winter scenes and holiday themes and the added lights just made the designs pop. These were the perfect item for adding color and the spirit of Christmas in unexpected areas.
I like to put art in unexpected places, in the fireplace, in a corner, on the lower level of a casual table, absolutely anywhere. I would definitely have a collection of these placed in one area with timers so that they come on together in the evening giving off an ambient glow.
As I was leaving the area, I noticed that Darlene also created doll beds, (complete with pillows and linen), little tables and step stools for kids.
