Great Place. Stopped here off a trip on the Interstate and got excellent and fast service. Came in around 7:40pm and they let us stay in a couple minutes after 8pm(closing time) so that we could finish our meals. Very nice people and good folk. Great food that came out quick. Choose this if you want to avoid all of the chain restaurants in the area of Cartersville and eat local.

This is a little hole in the wall. We were expecting a food truck, but it was a nice location. I will say that it’s not so much choosing what you want off the menu, but what they have cooked that day. So, if you want to choose exactly what you eat, you might wanna try a different barbecue restaurant. However, we had the five dollar combo. It was a plain barbecue sandwich, chips and a «sweet tea» but you can get whatever you choose from the fountain. The pork was flavorful, however I feel it could have been cooked just a tad longer. It wasn’t underdone, but I love the crispy pieces. The meat was definitely slow cooked or roasted, and I could tell the quality was great when I realized nothing there had even brushed my gluten sensitivity. Overall, it’s been the best barbecue I’ve had since I last cooked it. The sauce at the tables was flavorful and they have three different options. The service was great, and I’ll definitely be back to try the other menu items.

Absolutely delicious Bbq. By the time we got there they were pretty much wiped out. We had dark chicken and a half slab of ribs with Brunswick stew and greens(not a fan too plain). However the stew was delicious. Feeling full

Scott’s BBQ the food was great!!! I ordered and walked to my seat and they were right behind me with my HOT order. I’ll definitely be back but until then I’ll take a Brunswick stew to go.

Fantastic barbecue. I got burnt ends and Cole Slaw and Brunswick stew that’s very good. Unsweet iced tea’s excellent as well. Met Scott . a nine-year-old eating with us got his autograph, he liked it that much…

Had the pork plate with potato salad and baked beans. It was excellent. Probably the best potato salad I’ve had in a long time and the BBQ sauce was great. Service was fast. Will definitely return when I’m in the area.

Fantastic BBQ. Pulled pork sandwiches, BBQ sauces, Brunswick stew, cole slaw and owner Scott were all fantastic. Doesn’t get any better than this, folks! No one should go to Barnsley Gardens and miss Scott’s. It’s not far and on the way to the Booth Museum in Cartersville.

It’s all good. Everything here is good! The owner is so friendly, the prices are great, the portions are generous… The only thing I could knit pick about at all is the cashier/staff are very curt(expect for one lady who is very sweet). They are not rude, they just don’t have anything to say and kind of ignore you. This could be because they are doing a very brisk business and are really busy most of the time when I come in, so I choose to ignore it. The owner is so sweet and friendly that he more than makes up for it. This is my favorite BBQ place in the state. Get a pulled pork meal, and grab a bottle of Scott’s sauce to go. You’ll put it on everything within reach!

You must go on Friday. We went on a Saturday. If you go on any day other than Friday you must be a pork fan. That is pretty much all that is BBQ Saturday through Thursday. However, on Friday the smoke brisket. And they know what real BBQ fans know — the burnt ends are the Nirvana of the BBQ world. So this is a pork review… If all you smoke six days a week is pig, then you probably get pretty good at it. This joint delivers on that assumption. We ate three different pork sandwiches. Two were better than the third, but only because the slaw on the Carolina sandwich was plain. The sauce was great. We flooded our sandwiches with their BBQ sauce. By the way, you don’t just walk up. It is a full restaurant with additional outdoor seating.

We stumbled upon this place and after pulling it up in Unilocal had to try it! I had the large Carolina pork with slaw– simply delish! It was very large too for only $ 5.75! Hubby had the 2 link smoked sausage– good but not amazing. Baked beans were good as well as Brunswick stew. Really wanted to try the brisket but it’s only offered on Fridays :(Sauces were amazing! Loved the thick and sweet, vinegar had perfect spiciness, mustard was good too although I’m generally not a fan. Sweet tea was great too. Loved the outdoor seating.

We found this place through Unilocal. We had the pulled pork, ribs, and sausage. Everything was great. They have a great mustard base sauce for the sausage that is really good. They also have a thin carolina stlye sauce as well as a thick sweet style sauce. The out side seating is awesome, not many bbq places have outside seating. Definitely going back. Its not too far from Barnesly Gardens if you are staying there, its like 10 – 15 minutes away. It has 4.5 stars on Unilocal for a reason!

This place is small but it is delicious and inexpensive. My hubby had the ribs and chicken combo and I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was some of the best pulled pork I’ve had. My hubby’s chicken and ribs were tender and flavorful. We just decided to stop here for dinner on the way to Chicago from Florida. We made a good decision.

Scott’s barbecue is a typical mom and pop barbecue restaurant using Styrofoam plates, cups, and plastic utensils. This is a «serve yourself» type restaurant with a clean dining room and clean restrooms. What Scott’s lax in pleasantries they more than make up for with the food. The barbecue is excellent as well as the coleslaw and Brunswick stew. It is well worth the trip to give it a try.

Phenomenal BBQ. Born in the north, raised in the south and this BBQ is truly the best. Got the $ 6 combo; BBQ sandwich and substituted the bag of chips for the baked beans for .50¢ and a tea. Splurged a little and ordered dessert; peach cobbler and ice cream for only $ 3.50. For $ 10, this meal was amazing. Definitely recommend it.

Ive traveled the country and experienced BBQ in all forms, quality and«style». With this in mind, I not sure what the draw is to this place except only in its tradition here in CVille. It is priced higher than Id expect for the quality of the sauce, meat and portions offered. Not particularly picking on this place alone. there arent many options for good BBQ in Cartersville. Its as good or bad as any other here.

Cartersville, you have something special at Scott’s Walk-Up BBQ. I’m a huge barbeque fan who’s lived in Austin and Memphis, so I know good BBQ. And you have some of the best right here. I ordered the two meat platter. The smoked sausage was very good, but the pulled pork was simply outstanding, some of the best pork I’ve ever had. The slaw and baked beans were also very good, familiar, classic comfort food. I arrived at 5:20 on a Friday, the brisket and burnt ends were already sold out. I’ll need to come earlier next time.

The best BBQ place I’ve been to so far. The brisket and the pulled pork are just awesome! Also the homemade sauces. Prices are low and Scott, the owner, serves himself. Highly recommended!
