Saturday 1÷23÷2016 Came here with my buddy I haven’t seen for a long time. Bartender at the bar in the right hand side of the building(Drewey?) that night was rude and combative. We were absolutely dumbfounded. She was wearing a Mortal Kombat t-shirt. I asked her if she really liked Mortal Kombat and immediately became confrontational. She asked why would she wear the shirt if she didn’t like the game and then asked if I would ask the same question if she were a man. Ok. Nerd culture and retro gaming shirts are stylish these days and many of people I see at KSU wearing retro gaming shirts have never even played the games. I was completely taken back by her attitude, feeling somehow ashamed for a simple question. There was no rude behavior on our part, but she sure had a vendetta and she let it be known, making me out to be sexist. Honestly, I was scared to eat the food after that confrontation. We were quiet patrons, drank our beer, ate our food, and I tipped well. She did NOT say thank you, just took my tab, making sure to I filled it out, and simply ignored us until we left. This place will not receive anymore of my money when it’s employees treat the patrons so poorly. When people are respectful and friendly, you shouldn’t berate them. Unacceptable behavior toward customers.

We love Sixes Tavern! The food is great and prices are not bad. We enjoy it every time we go!

I was along for the ride with hungry friends and found myself at Sixes Tavern. I thought to myself about a day ago, «Hmm. I would really love a shrimp po boy.» Sixes has one on their menu and I was excited to order it. The menu says it’s got diced jalapeño on top along with chipotle mayo so I expected it to be spicy. The jalapeño must have been super fresh because after one bite my face was leaking like a faucet. They blended in so perfectly with the cole slaw and lettuce I took a huge bite with a ton of peppers. It kind of threw off the taste of the shrimp completely(they were nice and crispy though). It was apparently open-mic night so we listened to a few bands. Their house band played and sounded like Modest Mouse mixed with Smashing Pumpkins. It was alright. Anyways, the waitress we got only filled up my water one time and wasn’t really around much which is okay but not when my mouth is on fire from the peppers. My wife ordered their«Moko Mac n Cheese». Described as shell pasta with spicy chicken and bacon in a spicy cheese sauce. Way too spicy for her. The quality of the chicken and bacon were at question when she bit into a big tendon-fatty piece of meat. She didn’t like it at all. I tried it, didn’t like it either. With all of that being said, I’m usually not a picky eater at all OR sensitive to spicy peppers or sauces. It’s very rare that either of us leave a restaurant without cleaning out plate or taking a box. I would go here again but not for the food. I would sit at the bar and drink until the band sounds good.

Great food love the fish n chips. Girlfriend loved her salad and her parents had burgers that were cooked perfectly. I came by for lunch with buddies from work and had to bring the family back because it was that good.

They took out the pool tables. Their food isn’t good. No reason to go there anymore. And if you go on open mic night the music is awful!

Ok place. Definitely more of a bar than a restaurant. Went around 5:45 on a Sunday afternoon to grab a bite with some friends… Loud band playing, and we were going to catch up… bad idea here when they are playing music. Would be good on Friday or Saturday night. Also was very hot inside. We actually thought the a/c might be broken. Really hot… Food was ok. Our party had a Reuben, chicken tenders, hamburger, quesadilla, and the salmon. Approx $ 12 – 15 per entrée, and food was ok. Good beer menu. Go for music and drinks!

Yep, this one deserves the stars. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for: delicious food and a selection of great beers on tap. Fish and chips are as good as they get. Try the potstickers just added as an appetizer!

We found this place from Born To Ride Magazine. Very good wings and $ 1 Bud Light draft today 7÷5÷15. They have a band some nights. Sunday’s are Acoustic Sunday. Really liked the band today.

Great gathering place, great food, cold beer. Never had a bad meal here, from chicken wings to salmon Cesar salad always top notch. Thurs night is bike night, bands are good and loud as they should be! Don’t recommend planning a quiet dinner on that night! $ 10.00 bucket of beer, great outdoor seating area. Hope they continue to do well, recently added a few items to their menu. Highly recommend.

First, this is a bar. Our food was good but know that this is a bar. High top tables, bar stools, loud music, cute girls in tank tops. I tried the Pollo Loco. The server warned it had a kick and it did. A pounded out chicken breast, blackened over Israeli cous cous with cheese sauce, garnished with red pepper, red jalapeño and a little pico de gallo. Fresh and pretty. Hot! My husband ordered the Guinness Fish and Chips. Plenty of beer battered cod and thick plank style fries. A nice side of slaw that was creamy and a little sweet. He liked it. Attentive service. Lots of friends talking about the great bands that play here on weekends.
