Dollar Tree

So… Wow. Easy to see I’m displeased with my extremely recent trip to this particular Dollar Tree. I will probably never go back to this one, and don’t recall the last time someone I was paying money to treated me like this. I had to go there to pick up some things for work, and I think I should include that I was at the Dollar tree on Walnut St. In Cary yesterday and the cashier was very polite. Today however I spent the ten minutes that it took to ring up my 10 items, and my 5 year daughter’s 5 items (she wanted to pay with her own money) being berated about how my 2 year old son was crying and upset. At first I thought the cashier was joking, but after the third time that she told me how spoiled my son was and how she would just never take her kids out in public acting like that, I begin to realize that she wasn’t. She continued on throughout the entire transaction, in front of three other groups of customers waiting behind us, which made me really uncomfortable. I was absolutely not going to give her a piece of my mind in front of my kids, so this seemed like a better idea. I also own a local business and know what I expect out my staff when it comes to customer service. By the time I left, my face was beet red with irritation, and I did thank her for her unsolicited opinion of my child whom she had never met. And while outside emptying my cart, the woman who had been behind me in line came over to tell me that the cashier had continued to talk trash about my son after I left, and that I shouldn’t worry about it. So, to wrap up, a note to the cashier on lane 4(the only one open), who was working that register about 4:00 pm today on 12÷30÷15, I hope you get your attitude in check, and when you have children, I’m sure that you will have an eye opening experience, so good luck with that :)

While my experience at other locations have been better this one took the cake lasts night.
The cashier, obviously overworked, was the worst in my opinion. Not only was she extremely
s-​l-​o-​w, she also had a bad attitude shaking her head at many customers and huffing rudely.
For the customer in front of me who had 20 bags of the SAME kind, she rang each one of them separately and deliberately. When it came time to bag, she would again put these in one by one by which time the lady lost her patience and grabbed the bags and said she would do the bagging herself, you just do the payment.
When it came to me, the card reader said ‘Insert Card Anytime’ so I did, as in most other stores. She began yelling saying is it Credit or Debit and when I said Credit started shaking her head and tsk-​tsking saying ‘That is only for Debit Sir’…WTF…it did not even indicate that and I told her that — so she keeps muttering and shaking her head all the way until she finished with me, without even a greeting at the end as in a thank you or a merry xmas as all other cashiers did.
I swore not to come back to this store in a hurry again.
Otherwise a great store chain, best among the $ chains, easily.

I’ve only frequented a dollar store a handful of times in my day. I am so amazed at how many things they can still make money on for only $ 1. I’m thinking go here first and then if you can’t find something go elsewhere. Hey, a dollar saved is a dollar earned!
This one in particular seems just fine. Nothing fancy, but why would you expect any more than that if everything is only costing a dollar. All items are pretty organized and shelves are stocked well. I know some places like this are probably a disaster because no one really cares since it is a cheap store. There aren’t areas where you have to «get skinny» to go through because there is so much stuff packed in this place.
Overall, a great place and I will definitely be back for more savings.

This is very sad, my stars is falling off fast for this dollar tree, again they don’t have this water. Such a great and high demands for this water. Psssst it is alkaline lol…
And I want it now… lol I have checked all the one in the triangle. Might just have to step outside of this place.

Clean store but terrible customer service! I have been in this store on several occasions and have NEVER been greeted positively. This visit took the cake. 1. Cashier decided to text before ringing up my items. 2. Another cashier came over with her phone & pulled up a video & showed my (already rude) cashier something. She was so ‘into’ that when ‘I’ said thank you, her response was «mmhmmm»! Who does that? #terriblyrude

It is nice having a @DollarTree close by, pretty much walking distance. This is a nicer one that is fairly clean and organized all the time. They are not as huge as some of the other stores, but still bigger than others also.
I like coming her for some cleaning supplies, or other household items. But be careful, just because it is $ 1 does not mean it is not cheaper at other places. But overall, there are many things that are here, cooking utensils, that I have seen the exact same item/​brand at other retailers for several dollars more.
It is worth stopping by a Dollar Tree, and you have to visit them all because they each carry a different assortment of merchandise.

Typical dollar store! Something’s are good others not so much. I purchased picture frames for my wedding for table numbers. Not a bad deal! Most things are very cheap and suck what what do you expect, it’s the dollar tree. Always great to buy balloons from the dollar store to save a few bucks.
