Great service, everyone is exceptionally helpful and friendly, even when ordering takeout. Consistent, had a minor meal issue, and they were very kind in making the experience top notch. Highly recommend to everyone, and delish gluten free options!

This was our first trip to Famous Toastery. We arrived around 9:30am this morning, a Sunday, and waited about 10 minutes for a table. GREAT atmosphere, FRIENDLY staff, and it is a real plus that their seating area includes a very nice outdoor patio for warm-weather days. We were served promptly, placed our orders and received our beverages within 5 minutes of being seated. Contrary to other posts, we did not get any cornbread bites while waiting for our meal, so that may no longer be offered. My husband had the Runner’s Omelet and really enjoyed it. Well made with generous amounts of turkey, cheese and veggies. He enjoyed the sourdough toast and the fresh fruit side dish. The disappointment was the cheese melt that I had. Not sure why they bother to call it a cheese melt, as It was really a small grilled cheese sandwich, kind of greasy, and VERY skimpy on the cheese. In fact, I ordered 2 cheeses, and they charged me extra. Had I not ordered the second cheese there would have been almost no cheese in this grilled sandwich! We will try this place again, as it is convenient and friendly and the eggs were good. However, I will never get the cheese melt again.

A wonderful brunch destination! A place where I can get lobster for breakfast or lunch, how sweet! If you are like me and have a hard time choosing between breakfast favorites such as pancake/French toast and a savory dish, you are in luck, you can order an additional side of French toast or a pancake for just a few bucks. Although, I must also impart that the menu items are a bit pricey to start with. The brunch menu has some enticing choices and I was thoroughly pleased with my order of the Avocado Benny and Blueberry Stuffed French Toast. Well, my eyes were a bit bigger than my stomach, I did end up splitting my French Toast but was still thrilled to have had both. We must have been lucky, the Saturday we went we were seated immediately. Service was great. Ambiance is cozy with lovely outdoor seating.

Simple, good food. There wasn’t a lot of fluff with the restaurant, menu, or food. Which was a good thing. The coffee was just coffee but it was robust, fresh, and delicious. The food was clean and fresh. The server was sincerely friendly and made dining there a pleasurable experience. Will happily return in the future!

Today I tried the country Bene it is absolutely amazing the ham is salty flavorful and robust, like old fashioned country style ham should be. I added jalapeño to my hash browns for a lil spice. I highly recommend the peach Bellini it has fresh peach purée, schnapps and champagne to create a perfect combination.

This place is overall great. Positives~Food is delicious. Our party had, cheese omelette, pancakes and ham, and kids meals, which were pancakes and bacon. Good strong coffee. Service was quick and pleasant. Negatives~tables seem small. We had 4 people, and two were kids. I had to ask them to remove all the condiments off the table to accommodate all of our plates. Prices are high.

Overall: Decent assembly line type food, subpar service with usually long waits for brunch Pros: Food is just OK but reasonably priced Cons: 1. Service. service. service. They rush you throughout the process once you have been seated. Do not check on you except to take your plates. They watch to see when you take your last bite and then will take your plate right away. I wanted to tell them. I get that you are trying to get other people in but guess what. I waited too??? Ultimately it felt like«speed eating.» 2. They do not offer omelets. They are more like egg wraps. Veggies are sautéed separate from the eggs(like 1.5 versus the 3 they advertise) and then the egg is layed on the plate with veggies layed inside. Nothing actually connects the egg and veggies. I did hear through another review that you can ask for any omelet to be made Into a scramble which would be more appealing than the omelet they offer. French Toast was ok but tasted a little like it had been microwaved. Basically my summary is that the food was like assembly line food versus a restaurant with a cook.

When you first walk into the restaurant you’ll find that it has a rustic and a bit of a modern feel to the ambience. They have a great selection of omelettes and eggs Benedict’s. If you’re looking for something health-conscious or in the market of losing weight I would suggest eating the runner. It’s an all egg white omelette mixed with turkey, roasted vegetables, and brie. Overall, this is a great place to have lunch or brunch.

I have been to Toast Café twice now and each time we go, we wait for a long time to be seated. You cannot make reservations so you just have to get there early before the crowds or wait. Once you do get seated, the food comes out quickly. You can sit either inside or outside and it has a quaint and rustic feel. You can order breakfast all day long and«every server is your server». We were tired of waiting for a table so we sat at the bar today and it worked out fine. The omelette with avocado and bacon and parmesan is very tasty and the presentation with a fresh orange slice is very nice. The prices are good at about $ 9.99 a person for an entrée. They also have sandwiches, wraps and salads if you would like more traditional lunch fare. Everyone was really friendly and I can see this being a popular brunch spot on the weekends.

I have held off writing a review to make sure that I went through the whole menu. The food us above average for what I would expect in a «chain» even though it is a small one. From what I have seen and tasted they use better than average quality ingredients which is a good start. The way the food is put together and presented is clean and tasty but nothing fancy.(How many ways should you really try to display an egg or sandwich though?) Their black coffee is great. They will give you one to go also which I like. The service is tops. Part of this is due to their«everyone is your waiter» methodology. I never have to flag someone down to fill my glass or bring extra hot sauce since we are checked on at a proper rate. The inside and outside of Toast is clean an functional. They have enough dedicated 2 and 4 tops to keep the flow of seating. It does get a bit loud but again that is to be expected. We are regulars here for many reasons and will continue this tradition. I have recommended this place to at least 5 people and have heard nothing but great reviews also.

I’ve been twice as the first time was horrible but I’m always willing to accept that I could’ve had an abnormal meal and maybe the second try would be better. To bad that wasn’t the case I had a lobster roll myself that I thought was actually pretty good so kudos there but my wife had a quiche that came out cold, like just out of the fridge. It was more than 20 minutes before we even saw our server again and I was done so we asked for the check and mentioned it to the cashier who removed it from the bill. That’s the reason I was willing to try it again. The second time around I can’t even remember what I ordered but the stuffed French toast my daughter ordered was the worst attempt at French toast I’ve ever seen. Each slice of bread was battered on one side only then cooked leaving plain white bread on the other. It was then smeared with the cold stuffing and slapped together forming a sandwich. This thing wasn’t edible to me and even my 9yr old daughter wouldn’t touch it. The French toast sticks across the way at B.K. are better than this. I’ll stick to Brigs and Mimi’s for breakfast

I’m becoming quite the regular over at Toast. It’s to the point where many servers acknowledge their growing familiarity with me, and sometimes I’ll get some extra kindness for it. That’s not why I go there so often though — I go for the food. It’s fantastic, but there’s just something about Toast that doesn’t sway me to give them 5 stars. Not sure what it is, and maybe I’m being unfair. Perhaps a few more visits will show me some light. It has become routine for me to order the biscuits and gravy appetizer. I usually just get one biscuit and devour it. It’s cut in half and generously drenched in thick, rich and delicious gravy. It just might be the best I’ve ever had. I’ll decidedly complement it with a full meal of either flapjacks or flavored French toast. I prefer the plain flapjacks to the blueberry or any other«fancified» version. In fact, I don’t like them prepared with fruit at all — I don’t enjoy their recipe. Further, I’m apt to order bacon over sausage because they supply patties instead of links. Hmmm…I think now I’m getting to the nitty gritty of why I’ve saved that fifth star. They quite frankly haven’t blown me away in every area and I feel that those 5th stars should be attached to near perfection. Maybe I’m stingy, but there just has to be a special category for the exceptional. Further along those lines, when it’s crowded, eating at the bar takes away from an otherwise potentially rewarding experience. But when I get a good seat, there’s a real treat in the making. For instance, the service is always great, but there’s an abruptness to its end when your food arrives. The bill comes and you’re bid adieu, left to bring it to the front on your own when time to check out. Makes good sense, but it’s still rather impersonal for some reason. Still and all, this is one of my favored meal spots. I’ve never sat outside but it looks comfortable on a nice day. The scrambled eggs are great and the raspberry French toast is fantastic in times when the chef doesn’t over-fill them, making the toast a bit too soggy. No, not a 5-star restaurant, but, close. Come to think of it, I don’t need a few more visits to know this but I’ll have them anyway.

I loved Toast during my years in Charlotte and was pleased to see their presence increasing in the Triangle. I’m hopeful that Toast will attract more business to Waverly Place as it’s a very nice shopping center and has potential. As for Toast itself, I took a friend to brunch on a Sunday and got in early before it filled up. Service was very quick(from multiple servers). The portion of the omelet I received was plentiful, and the cornbread nice and soft as it should be. Hash browns are not shredded potatoes, but more coarsely sliced — seasoning was still good. Enjoyed my brunch at Toast and hope more people in Cary give it a chance.

It seems to me that I’ve been spending way too much time at Waverly Place lately and there are some fine additions to the shopping center, one being Toast. After living in Charlotte for a few years I already new what Toast was all about but I never actually ate there. Toast is open for breakfast and lunch everyday and dinner Wednesday — Saturday 5pm — 9pm. I’m pretty sure you can order breakfast all day long which is a bonus in my book I’m addicted to breakfast and can eat it no matter what time of day it is. I was on a bit of a holiday food hangover and was looking for something light to eat on my visit to Toast. I was happy to see all the yummy salad and sandwich options. They even had crab rolls and lobster rolls on special the day I stopped in so tempting but I still decided to behave myself. I ordered the tofu salad and mushroom gruyère quiche and shared them with my lunch mate. Both of the dishes were really delicious and fresh. This was a really good quiche and I definitely would come back for it again I believe they switch out the quiche flavor daily. The salad was tasty well as tasty as tofu can be(I do like tofu) the salad dressings that were made in house though were what really made the salad delicious. We ordered the raspberry vinaigrette and dijon vinaigrette both were yummy. The servers punch everything in on an Ipad and you pay up front on your way out. There was quite a line the day we were there to pay so the friendly waiters offered to run our cards for us in the back. Great service and decent food it’s a great choice for lunch or brunch. I saw that they offer ½ price wine on Wed so I might need to check out the dinner menu soon as well.

I took a group of friends to Toast while visit them in Raleigh. I was excited to try a new place and have some great breakfast food! When we arrived, our group of 5 didn’t have to wait very long for a table. That was a plus, because we were STARVING! They were out of gas for their inside fireplace, burr. They had no hot chocolate as we were told after we ordered, bummer. And, they gave us the check for our meal WITH our meal. There is nothing more rude than to give a check WITH the meal. The good: the décor was awesome barn style. It was very clean inside and the cashiers at the front were very nice. I doubt I will every return to eat at Toast. There are other breakfast restaurants with the same quality of food where I do not feel rushed to eat. Okay experience, but one I don’t care to relive.

Staff was friendly and I love how they all help you and you are not assigned one server. It was nice to get breakfast at lunch time. I got an omelet, toast and hash browns. All good. The only reason why I am not giving them 5 stars is for what you got it was a bit overpriced. Although the food was good, the value was not there. Also, they did not have many vegetarian options. If you wanted to remove the meat from the sandwiches you could, but you still are paying for the meat. I was expecting more than 1 item being vegetarian. Would be nice if they would have has a grilled cheese or something. But, I am sure I will go back!

I was very excited to try Toast out when it opened… and when we arrived I was a little skeptical to learn it was a chain. While it is a small chain, it hasn’t grown too big for its britches! My husband and I arrived around 8:15 on a Sunday morning. It was pretty busy, only a few tables left open. We were greeted by a young lady who took our drink order and she quickly returned. About a minute or two later a server greeted us, shared specials, took our order and in less than 8 minutes we had a fresh, homemade, tasty looking breakfast in front of us. I ordered the quiche special with fruit while my husband ordered a meat heavy omelet with hash browns and toast. Everything, and I mean everything was amazing. Nothing was wrong, cold, or took too long. We were offered more than enough coffee. The portions were large, nobody is going to leave hungry. I really look forward to returning to this place and to bring friends. I just hope this place doesn’t turn into a ‘typical’ chain restaurant.

I’m so glad toast is nearby. I’ve been going to the Toast in Dilworth for years and have missed it since moving. I love brunch and toast always executes it well. This location is convenient and the patio is perfect(only downside is the traffic buzzing by but since it’s located in a shopping center, it’s to be expected). Their idea of service is that you don’t have one server throughout the meal. Multiple people will check on you, sometimes it’s a bit overboard and can be confusing your first visit. Regardless, all of the servers were friendly and prompt with any request. Prior to the meal, you get cornbread and apple butter. To be honest, after cornbread at brunch at Lucky 32 last weekend, this cornbread seems a bit dry and average. The coffee is good, and I love making the southwest omelet into a scramble with added onions. I have to admit, this past Saturday there was very little chorizo in my scramble. I didn’t say anything to the server because the rest of the scramble was really good, but it was included and I should’ve spoken up. Regardless, I will be back. My past experiences with Toast in Dilworth has always been great and I attribute anything less than stellar to this being the first week in business.

The newest restaurant over in Waverly Place is Toast Café, part of a small chain of sandwich shops in the Southeast. From the outside, Toast Café has got a pretty plain storefront along with a nice side patio with fountain. Inside, Toast Café goes a bit country and they’ve got a small lunch counter to the right. The place is bustling even though it’s only been open a week, surprise! I guess this place must be good, huh? But this is my first visit so we shall see! Open from 7am to 3pm, Toast Café specializes in breakfast and lunch. Sandwiches and wraps from $ 7 to $ 10 with a variety of sides, I go with a meatloaf sandwich. Five minutes later, I get a nicely toasted sandwich with a side of creamy potato salad and pickle. The meatloaf is thinly sliced and layered with melted cheese and mustard, a bit different than your usual meatloaf sandwich. And it’s very tasty with a good mix of cheesiness, tang and savory, yum! Service at Toast Café is very attentive, I must have gotten asked 8 times if I needed anything over the course of a 30 minute meal. I’m sure it’s partially opening week friendliness but it shows that they’ve trained their staff well. And while the prices at Toast Café are a touch high, it’s still not a bad deal here for lunch. So welcome to Cary, Toast! And yeah, I’ve got my diet Coke glass raised high for you…
