The food at Firehouse is always great. The customer service at this one is less than pleasurable, however. I used to manage a restaurant so I may have different expectations than others, but all of my experiences there have all been ridiculous. This one is close to my house so I have given them plenty of opportunities. I simply do not want to give them money anymore. My mother placed an order via online. It didn’t go through on her end, but on their’s it went through twice. When I went to pick up the food, I received eye rolls and condescending tones. It was a small simple mixup and I apologized for their inconveniences because obviously my business is an inconvenience for them. There is a new firehouse in Raleigh by my workplace and I have opted to go to that one instead from now on.

Stopped in here because the line was too long at Chipotle. This was just a quick lunch while running errands on a workday. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, which is a smaller option — a traditional sandwich sized item, as opposed to a 6″ or more sub. I appreciated that they listed the calories for all of the entrees. It was a pretty good sandwich — good chicken salad with nuts on good bread. It just seemed a bit overpriced at $ 7 — this was just a sandwich and a pickle, no sides or drink. A bit steep in my book — I could get a bigger chicken salad wrap at the Harris Teeter deli for a lot less. But good in a pinch, I suppose.

This Firehouse has the most unenthusiastic employees ever. My husband and I wanted to go to Chipotle, but sadly, it was closed due to equipment needing repair. We decided Firehouse was a decent enough spot, so we went in. An employee by the name of Rebecca walked in front of us and muttered«Welcome to Firehouse.» Thanks. Glad to be here, we can tell you’re glad we are bringing you our business. We walked up to the register and I ordered a Hook and Ladder — Rebecca said, «chips and a drink? fully involved? is that all?» in one breath. «Yes…yes…no…my husband is still looking.» My husband placed his order, except his was, «chips and a drink? fully involved? for here? your total is ___.» by this point, I was annoyed, because c’mon, there is literally maybe 5 minutes tops interaction between Firehouse staff/customers, why not make it count? It’s not like you have to wait on us or bring us refills, we literally do that ourselves. Annoying. We filled our drinks, we got our chips, we sat. Then another equally enthusiastic gentleman walked our way. He said our name, then set our baskets down in front of us. No, «You all have everything you need? Let me know if there’s anything else we can do.» He walked away. Maybe that’s why the cashier didn’t care? Because it drips down from leadership that you don’t have to. Terrible way to represent. By the way, I went to school with and am friends with the Firehouse founder’s son(I would never name drop, but this grinds my gears because I know these guys wouldn’t be cool with this behavior), and I always want to say that, because I know that this would not be an acceptable way to treat customers. Have a little Firehouse pride, y’all! Be excited! Serve up a great, quality sub and maybe the bulk of your customers on this particular Saturday afternoon wouldn’t wander in as an afterthought because Chipotle was closed.

I eat here once a week now due to the awesome subs and killer staff. They are fast and friendly at this location.

When it comes to subs I very much enjoy this place. My favorite: the club on a sub. The subs tend to be a little on the wet side and don’t save well, but ask for light on the condiments and BAM! It’s awesome. They also have one of those soda fountains with every flavor you can imagine. I’m not a soda drinker myself but I can defiantly see the appeal.

Clean, not crowded at 1230 pm on a Monday. It’s just what I needed. The cashier and other staff seem to be upbeat and cheery. The sandwich is great, I only wish the price wasn’t close to ten dollars!!! Thank you for the excellent service. I will be back.

you are assured a fabulous sandwich every time you visit this Firehouse location. Super clean, organized and folks are very nice. The Brisket & Cheddar is my personal favorite… can’t be beat.

Really good subs here, and different from the other sub chains. 20 times better than Quiznos and 15 times tastier than Subway, but probably close to on par with Which Wich. Firehouse steams their subs if I remember correctly. Not the entire thing, but the meat and cheese, which makes for a deliciously melty sandwich. The bread is not toasted and holds up well with the sandwich. I got a turkey, bacon and ranch and really enjoyed it. Plenty of seating too, which is a huge bonus over the Which Wich in Raleigh. If you’re looking for a good, quick, cheap lunch then I would highly recommend Firehouse.
