Love candy, love this concept, and love the variety. What I don’t love is that I’d have to leave the kids in the car(with a responsible adult) so they’re not exploring the candy bras, edible underwear, and profanity laced coffee mugs while we are browsing. Seems a shame to have a candy shop more reminiscent of a Spencers. Maybe post a warning on the front door, or consider moving the adult items above eye level.

It’Sugar. Yes. Yes it is. A lot of it. Aside from the spelling of the store name, which seems strangely appropriate in its representation of how you’ll probably be speaking if you partake of too much from this place, It’Sugar is a fun store that makes no claims of stocking anything other than sugar filled items(except for the Pez and gumball dispensers, some mugs, Starburst-scented candles, and a few small toys). Although they do have chocolate, mostly in the loose candy, it’s primarily non-chocolate items — the style of candy kids like, movie theaters sell, and big kids like to eat if for no other reason than to re-live a childhood favorite, or to laugh in the face of blood sugar levels, breakouts, and tooth decay. YOLO, right? On the other hand, that’s probably not a fair representation of It’Sugar though, as they do have some candy only sold to adults owing to the liquor content(some with Kahlua and some with Jack) and other candy, like skittles and jelly belly, which cross age lines. Big kids or little kids, It’Sugar is the place to go to satisfy a candy craving. And sometimes, it’s simpler than trying to choose one from the checkout lane displays at the nearby box stores. Bring yourself, bring the kids, pick a favorite and everyone’s happy — you, the kids, the personal trainer, the dentist, the doctor — everyone.
