We have two therapy dogs who have also completed C.L.A.S.S. (Canine Life and Social Skills), earning B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. «degrees.» I wanted to learn how to teach my dogs some tricks and keep them mentally engaged, as we go to the Ronald McDonald House in Chapel Hill, to schools and libraries.
Jackie’s tricks class is soooo much fun – for everybody— the two and four-​footed creatures. Since we go to schools where the kids read to the dogs, Jackie suggested that they learn to read. One of our dogs really picked this up fast, thanks to Jackie’s instruction and mentoring, and my dog has been a big hit, especially at the Ronald McDonald House. In fact, she was featured in an article about therapy dogs in the Durham Herald-​Sun (June 27, 2015). We plan to continue with Jackie’s classes, learning more tricks, taking a free-​style dance class and perhaps getting involved in a drill team. Jackie really knows how to «read» dogs, and people, and she uses rewards-​based training, being very patient if the people and pooches don’t «get it» initially.
My older dog has learned so much too, he can now twirl and jump through a screen and he barks for joy when he knows we are going to class. I really respect Jackie and her dedication to her work. Both my husband and I highly recommend her classes.
Her training studio is conveniently located in downtown Cary and very spacious.

It is rare that you connect with the staff at a facility. Quite often it is all about the money. That is not the case here. Jackie and Cameron are warm and inviting. They bend over backwards to accommodate schedules and allow customers to change their classes if they need too. I am shocked that anyone would write a review that is negative because this is not the culture of this wonderful center. Policies do state that there are no refunds and this is the practice of nearly every service business. I would be shocked if you were not offered accommodations that could meet your schedule and unique needs. Our family loves this center. Our dogs love this center and we feel as if we are treated like family. You cannot go wrong if you take classes here. They are simply amazing.

We have been working with Jackie for four years. We have five rescue dogs and all of them have trained with Jackie. One is a Therapy dog, she trained with Jackie for this also. Jackie is the best! We love to go to class! The dogs love it too. You can’t say her name without them getting excited about going to class. She has classes for every need. She also does private lessons and home visits. From puppy to advanced, agility Therapy, and all of the ones I can’t think of, there’s a class for everyone. If you can’t get a time with Jackie, don’t worry, you can train with Cameron, he is excellent! He offers the same classes. He is energetic and loves what he does. I would never go anywhere else.
