Good for cary since we don’t have much to chose from when it comes to Mexican bakeries, but I sometimes prefer to travel a little further to get bread. This place is good bread is soft and friendly staff. The bread is an acquired taste. When I visit my grandparents my family members like to come here because it’s closer to them. But I wouldn’t buy this bread for my own home it’s good but it’s not something I’d want to buy a ton of and keep at home because while the taste is not horrible it’s definitely something you have to get used to and it can get overwhelming.

Has excellent Tres Leches cake. If you have not had this kind of cake, you need to try it. It tastes GOOD!

The wife and me went today to get some freshly baked Mexican style bread. Initially the variety seemed great, there was everything from conchas to puerquitos to mantecadas and much more. We finally thought we had found a place that was close by to go frequently. Big mistake. When we got home all the pastries were very dry… the flavor was acceptable but I don’t think we’ll eat them. We tried reheating them using the oven, but didn’t help much. Oh well… fortunately there are others Mexican bakeries in the Triangle… just not as close to where we live.

Sparse but nice-smelling? I that a sort of thing one is to comment on in reviews? Originally, I went in here during a day of desperately seeking horchata mix. This was before I found out that if you have rice and cinnamon in your kitchen, you can pretty much make it yourself. Anyway: despite being housed in one of the buildings along this stretch of Maynard that actually looks newer and inviting, the interior was a little on the bleak side, and there just wasn’t much on the shelves. As such, I didn’t find any horchata mix. Life can be so hard.
