Paychex

I had a looming (not to mention dreaded) task hanging over my head as the new year approached. Payroll! I hadn’t done payroll in about a dozen years (give or take). I hadn’t done payroll manually in about 18 years and that was what I was facing. I did the math, added up the time it would take, got comparable quotes from Paychex and one of their competitors and presented my case to my boss — it would cost us more for me to do payroll than to outsource it. A LOT more. Paychex made the transition fairly easy and they were able to answer numerous questions about what did or did not need to be filled in on their forms.
There was one hiccup with a delivery fee I wasn’t expecting so I cancelled the delivery service to get myself out of the office during my lunch hour and pick up the payroll. They made the pickup process easy, yet still with enough controls to prevent a fraudulent pickup.
So, if I’m so happy with the service, why not five stars? They still haven’t refunded the delivery fee they said they were going to refund.
