I’ve been here twice and my husband has been once. All three times we had a good experience. Wait time was under 30 minutes and the staff was very pleasant.

Everyone is nice and friendly. Waiting areas and exam areas are clean and neat Staff and Doctor are very professional and give accurate information. I have been there several times and would go back again if needed. The only variable that can not be controlled is the wait time. However you can call ahead To get an idea of the wait time, you may want to bring a book, or an iPad etc. if the wait is long. I am very pleased with their services.

How do you complain about service in a business like healthcare that know nothing about service. So I need to see a doc while traveling and go to a doc-n-a-box location. Pretty quick check in and triage. Then put in a room for well over an hour. Doc came in an was nice and through and left. 10 minutes. So a total of about 2 hours for service. Good and bad. I prefer not to return, but might if the need arises.

This might be my very first time to whip out a 1 star rating… and I didn’t even make it far enough into the facility to see an actual doctor. I had a very poor experience with the reception ladies. I visited on a Monday evening at 5:30 for my daughter’s ingrown toenail. There were only two patients in the waiting room, including my daughter. The place was pretty dead. You would think that would open the door to a less rushed, friendly staff. Not so. I have never experienced such reception staff that was so unwilling to help. In fact, it seemed as though they actually took pleasure in doing the complete opposite. If not claiming a visit on your insurance, you’re very wise to go elsewhere. I was informed that their visits start at over $ 200. They start there. This seems ridiculous for an ingrown toenail. God forbid I get a splinter. One of the ladies took great pleasure in informing me that it would be extra if they decided to do x-rays. Awesome. X-Rays on an ingrown toenail. Very helpful info. They were also unwilling to offer any discounts even if I was paying out of pocket… which is pretty standard elsewhere. The actual care here might be good. It might be excellent. I never made it that far. I was so put off by the poor service I received at reception that I turned around and went back out the door. If the service at the door isn’t good, it reflects poorly on the entire facility. A first impression goes a long way… be it a positive first impression or a negative one. In this case, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth and I will not return. The facility(waiting room) itself seemed clean and well kept. I can’t speak for the exam rooms themselves. If you’re in need of urgent care, I would seriously reconsider visiting Rex Urgent Care unless you want to be made to feel like a burden.

I stand by my previous review of Rex Urgent Care from 4 years ago. I’ve been in to this urgent care twice in one week now due to injuries sustained from a car accident one week ago. The receptionists are mostly awesome. Some are a little stingy, but they’re pretty helpful if you ask them nicely. The nurses are all awesome. My favorites are Debbie and Holly. There was a third I met tonight and I didn’t get her name, but I really liked her too. Last week when I went in, I asked for a medical record from my previous day’s visit and got that easily at no-charge. Tonight and last week I saw Dr. Henry Jefferson. I also saw him a year and half ago when I went in for a workout injury. Dr. Jefferson is compassionate and lighthearted. Talking to him makes you feel like you’re talking to your father when you’re a young girl and you want your Dad to listen. However, Dr. Jefferson is pretty realistic and straight with you even though he’s sensitive to your pain or whatever your situation is. Tonight, I had X-rays and the X-ray techs were very attentive, careful, and thorough. Quality X-rays taken with Siemens equipment. Nothing broken thankfully, but sadly there are some spinal problems. Joys of accidents. Treatment is walk-in only. Open from 9am to 8pm daily. You can check their website to see what the wait time is which is also great. It’s the one place I can count on. Other urgent care hours are not as reliable. I’ve also found other Raleigh urgent cares to be inconsistent and more incompetent than this one. The ER is too expensive and you can’t always reach your family doctor so this urgent care works. I live in North Raleigh, but I still go to this urgent care above any other because I know what to expect every single time. Parking is plentiful and right out front so there’s no long walk to the front door. Cell reception inside the building sucks, but I find that to be common in most medical facilities. The final convenience is that there is free WiFi so you can take care of whatever you need from your mobile device while inside.

We took our infant son for high fever to Rex urgent care tonight. The nurse that took his rectal temp kept the thermometer in his bottom more than a minute making him scream the whole time. Then we were seen by a nurse practitioner, who made his mouth bleed excessively while she was checking his throat. His and my shirt were both covered with blood. When we asked to see the doctor instead, we were told that our son was seen by her. They provide healthcare and we would have expected them to be a lot more gentler with an infant especially. We still don’t know if their diagnosis was right. I wouldn’t go back to there again.
