Sanderson Construction has done the highest quality work I have ever contracted on my home. They have started and completed 2 jobs for me, and they were about 11 years apart. The first job I contracted them to do was my roof. My home has 6 dormers, and about 9 different rooflines, not to mention the top roof is about 35 feet off of the ground and at a steep angle. Other roofers had offered to shingle over the old shingles, but after speaking to the owner of Sanderson, Sam MacDougall, he explained why the old architectural shingles should come off. I found out later that for the type shingles we wanted installed, the old shingles did indeed need to be removed. Another addition to the roof that he recommended, and that I agreed to, was adding a ridge vent to the top roof. This passive vent has saved us at least 20 percent in electricity during the summer by keeping my upstairs cooler. They showed up every day at the jobsite on time. Cleaned up every day, even going so far as to walk the entire grounds with a powerful magnet to pick up stray nails. The roof has been on the house now for 11 years, and through many windstorms, hurricanes, and torrential rains, and not the first nail pop, leak, or shingle out of place. I could not be more pleased. His quote was slightly lower than the others i received, but he provided a higher quality shingle for that price as well. The second job we contracted Sanderson Construction to do was our Master Bathroom. After 25 years, the old shower was leaking. Sam came in and sat with us to draw up a new plan. My wife had some ideas, and I did not think we could incorporate all of them. Sam showed us how to reconfigure the space and move some things around to make it the master bath of my wife’s dreams. The tile floors are heated. The custom tile shower has 4 showerheads, and the whirlpool tub is deep enough for my wife to truly take a nice relaxing soak. The change from a 1984 bathroom with formica, to a beautiful, warm and rich tile bath, with custom granite counters and cabinets makes that room a highlight of our house. His knowledge of construction, as well as having a large, dependable crew of highly skilled subcontractors was a huge plus. The job was finished about a week behind schedule due to some fixtures being backordered, but all in all we were completely pleased with the results. The bathroom has been completed for over a year, and there have been no issues at all with it. I am not sure what happened with the other reviewer, but Sanderson Construction has been nothing but professional and skilled for me over the past 12 years. I trust them so much that I have recommended him to my mom and dad, and all my friends. All of them have been pleased. Thanks again Sanderson Construction!

1 word, HORRENDOUS!!! Sam Macdougall is not an experienced builder even though he portrays himself as one. His work was so below par it was stupefying. I could turn the 2×4’s of the framing 360 degrees with my bare hands, tresses did not match each other, the garage opening was only 7.25′ wide, and the list goes on. We finally had to sue him for our $ 50,000 because we could not find another construction company willing to take over the job; each said the previous work would have to be demolished and a whole new structure built. We sued him and his father-in-law paid his debt. Come to find out this was the SECOND ‘mistake’ his father-in-law had resolved. I just wish there was some way of putting this type of builder out of business for good! DONOTUSESANDERSONCONSTRUCTION!
