I went to Studio 180 today for the first time. I was nervous because I’m new to the area and hadn’t gotten a recommendation from anybody. I can’t tell you how happy I am – Amy cut and colored my hair, and she did an outstanding job. I have think, coarse and very wavy hair, and she was extremely professional and helpful in helping me choose the correct color. She is very skilled, and I could tell with the way she cut my hair that her skills are current. She was also very personable, and offered me a lot of suggestions in a very nice and helpful way. I liked the way she discussed styles with me, the way she took time to get the color right, and the way she listened to me. This is important to me because I’ve had some recent bad experiences else where. I highly recommend Amy and I highly recommend Studio 180.

I have been going to Anna for 5+ years for colors and cuts. She is truly a professional and I have always been extremely satisfied with my results. Anna takes the utmost care to give me what I want without harming the health of my hair. My daughter also goes to Anna for her cuts and colors, which are sometimes bold, and Anna handles any unusual requests with enthusiasm and ease. In fact, one of my daughter’s pictures is on this posting. I would highly recommend Anna and Studio 180 Salon.

So I had my hair dyed here for about 6 months or longer. I have dark brown, long hair. I was getting my hair dyed blonde on the top half and brown on the bottom half. I thought my color and cut was great. I love it! I lost my job and put off getting my hair done as it cost to much. So my roots started showing a bit. Than all of the sudden my hair started to fall out. Small clumps of blonde. It took about 2 weeks and almost all of my blonde hair fell out about an inch from the root. All I could do is cry. They never warned me that this could happen or ever tell me my hair was badly damaged. Maybe I should go back to my natural color, nothing. I was so embarrassed! I didn’t do anything with it for months. I couldn’t. I waited until last month about 6 –8 months since it happened to go get it fixed because I’m getting married this Friday. I didn’t contact the salon because I just didn’t know what to say. Losing all my hair like that made feel ugly. It looked ugly. Well it’s short now but looks better. I was never going update my review, I thought it was my fault. But the reason why I’m updating is not because of that but because the owner Anna contacted me today. She sent me a message saying the image I posted on Unilocal(I posted it last year after getting it cut, colored and styled in her salon) was«poor taste,» «didn’t reflect the work they do,» and«in fact it made me look quite petty.» I was so upset! I actually got a free product for writing that review when I was a customer at the salon. Before all my hair fell out I loved the color and now she’s going to say this. I did nothing wrong. I’m very upset and can’t believe she would do that to someone who spent hundreds and hundreds of dollar at her salon.

Flat out terrible. For starters, they messed up my appointment time. and tried to get me to reschedule until I fought with them about how i got that specific time off of work. My hair was a blondeish, light brown and i wanted dark red. NOT burgundy. I wanted actually red in my hair so I specifically told Maria NOPURPLE. My hair came out straight purple. not only was I pissed about that. but now, two weeks later, there is no hint of red OR purple. TERRIBLE. I would not waste your time. I would’ve gotten a better result out of $ 10 of box hair dye at Target than I got out of $ 125 at this salon.

Just had a cut and partial highlights done here. I absolutely love it! A friend has recommended to go there and the fact that the salon uses Schwarzkopf hair color was a definite plus. It was quite a drive — coming from Chapel Hill, but it was worth it. The owner, Anna, did a great job with my haircut. I got a haircut I was dreaming about for many years, yet was not able to find a stylist who was able to do it properly. I have thin hair and Anna created beautiful layers that suits perfectly my type of hair. I’m so glad I went there, now I have a haircut that makes me look 10 years younger! Anna cut my hair VERY professionally, very thorough. She also did partial highlights and they are great — in exact color I wanted. Love it! I highly recommend this salon. A+++++

I recently had my hair cut by Lisa at Studio 180. I admit I was nervous because I was unhappy with my previous stylist but making a change could be worse. I am a new mom with not a lot of time and I really didn’t need a style that was difficult to work with. I got an appointment within the week of calling Studio 180 and everyone from the person I spoke to on the phone to the other stylists at the salon could not have been nicer! I ended up having to bring my baby to my appointment and everyone was so accommodating! Lisa spent so much time going through magazine pictures with me and really asking me what I was looking for(and what I’m not looking for). She spent over an hour with me and showed me several ways to style my hair and even made suggestions for color(makeup, clothes, and hair) for some upcoming pictures I’m having done with my daughter. My new hairstyle is soooooooooo easy to work with(at work and when I’m going out) and it looks so much healthier! I would recommend Studio 180 and Lisa to ANYONE!
