Carter’s outlet has always been my go-to for my children’s clothing. You get quality and variety without completely breaking the bank. This store is pretty well organized and staff is friendly. And this is a great location that’s easy to park right outside of if you aren’t in a wandering mood at the mall. You have to be a savvy shopper though because it’s easy to think«oh, 30% off!» and not realize the item is priced relatively high to begin with. I always start with the clearance racks. But then, buyer beware, because the 20% off coupons don’t work on clearance items, or their doorbusters. So, again, you need to be savvy when shopping here. The one thing I really hate is about Carter’s as a whole– their rewards program. You spend $ 50 and get a $ 10 reward for future shopping trip. But, you have to keep the paper reward which is stapled to the receipt showing the qualifying purchase, and present the whole thing. And it expires after just a few months. There is a lot of technology out there to do this better– smaller companies have figured it out, so should you! Heck, my local liquor store reward program is easier than this.

I have gone to this store for clothing for my daughter since she was born. She is 5 now, and when we went in for a back to school shopping trip, I learned that they have no DRESSINGROOM. The employees were unapologetic about the fact that there is nowhere to try on clothing and suggested I take my daughter to a corner of the store and have her try on stuff, because«that’s what most people do.» Huh. I realize that it’s Carter’s, and babies don’t need fitting rooms, but they sell clothing up to sizes 7 or 8… what 8 year old wants to stand naked in the corner of a store? We just pulled up a chair from the lego table, went to the corner, and tried stuff on like a fitting room, laughing the entire time. Even my daughter thought it was weird. Geez Store Manager, can’t you even rustle up a curtain or something in that place? It’s ridiculous!
