Alex, is great, she does a great job, with color, highlight, and cut. always pleased. Convenient location. Clean, nice group of ladies.

I have to sing the praises of two stylists at cost cutters. Alex is truly an artist with my hair. she was able to see my vision and bring it to fruition. I knew I would be a challenge and she accepted the challenge without hesitation. I have been fortunate to find not one but, two stylists of the highest caliber. Katie is truly amazing and has done my hair in the past. I originally came in feeling down about my appearance; after she worked her magic I felt great about myself again. I highly recommend Alex and Katie. both are highly skilled at their craft and true artists.

I’ve been getting my haircut here for nearly 5 years. Recently, the last few months it’s sucked. Since Jody left new staff and manager seem to be a collection fatuous air head totally unconcerned about customer service. Most of the staff seems over stressed and demoralized. I called 3 days in a row to see if I could get a sitting with 1 of the only 2 people there that I trust to cut my hair. I really need to be able to book a time, but this business works like a cattle drive or a corner hot dog cart. The first day Wednesday I called hoping I could get in for either Melanie or Alex. These are the only stylists left that I trust; however they weren’t in. When would they be in? I asked, and was told on Thursday. So I called the next day around 11AM and was informed that Alex was in and was finishing a perm. When could she see me I asked? You can’t I was told as Alex would be leaving as soon as she finished a perm she was doing. However, I could call on Friday. Can I make an appointment for Friday morning I asked? No just call in the morning tomorrow and we’ll book you. Well Friday morning rolls around and after my first meeting I call. The phone rings off the hook, I call again, interminable ring, I call again for the third time at 10AM and I’m told«well we can fit you in at 4PM» and«oh sorry about not answering earlier but the second line is only connected to the register and we can’t answer when your call rolls over to that line!» What stupidity on the part of the company! Bottom line is that if you don’t reach a stylist you trust, and that’s almost impossible it seems because Alex and Melanie are doing one cut after another the whole time they’re there. In the end the customer service is horrible. And the place has the soul and atmosphere of a free clinic so I’m not sitting around for hours in their cheesy plastic chairs. I feel sorry for the few good stylists there. If or when Alex or Melanie leave I am gone, they are the only reason I endure the place. There’s simply not enough appeal to the business for me to take a gamble on any the new stylists. In the end, Alex heard that I was pissed and she took the time to call me at home and offered to shortened her lunch to fit me in. I have to fly to California Monday and she did an admirable job of providing the personal focus I needed. I endorse Alex and Melanie whole heartily, but their employer and the process, procedures and manner of business stinks. I hope they leave and where ever they go, I will follow.

I have been going to this particular Cost Cutters for a year now and every time Katie cuts my hair I walk out feeling great. She really spends the time to make sure you get exactly what you want. Everyone in the shop is extremely friendly and I will continue to go here even if if I move out of Castle Rock.

I have been here a couple times and it was never above average but my experience today was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in years. After being told it would be a 30 minute wait, I went home and called ahead for 4:30 pm. I showed up at 4:20 and was told by Katie that I am next up. At 4:45 another family came in and at 4:50 one of the stylist took that family ahead of me after being told twice by Katie that I was next. It was like I was invisible and she made a point of never looking me in the face the entire time I was there. I’m not sure what I did to deserve this treatment but it really ruined my day. Of course I wanted to walk out right then but I’m simply too busy to throw away an hour sitting in a hair salon. So, I waited for Katie to finish her customer. She cut my hair in 10 minutes, so I waited 40 minutes for a 10 minute haircut even after calling in an hour before. I didn’t know they had a VIP club but I guess they must, and I wasn’t VIP enough.

If I could give it a negative star I would. I came in here to get my sons haircut(he’s 19 months) and it was awful. Completely crooked and he was just uncomfortable the whole time. He’s had haircuts before but at a specialized kids place and it’s always awesome and he isn’t uncomfortable. I understand he was moving a little but I could tell the lady was just irritated and that definitely didn’t make me happy. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Thankfully we didn’t have family pictures coming up…
