I want to like this place, but… *it is dirty *the donuts are either cooked in the oil at too low a temperature & are therefore very greasy, or, the donuts are left in the fryer too long, not drained and are very greasy Fix those two issues and I’ll be the biggest customer because the owner & staff are friendly and I can see they really want to serve people. However, if the health department is called, this place will be shut down.

Probably the best donuts on earth!!! Friendly and delicious little joint in Castle Rock. My fav are the cronuts. Also, they fill donuts by order so you can customize your filling in your donut. It’s a treat. Definitely dangerous so go after you’ve hit the gym.

Finally a donut shop that is good in CR! I love the Fritters and cronuts. A little on the pricier side, but well worth it.

Saturday morning someone mentioned donuts. While I like donuts, I rarely go out of my way to get them. I might pick one up at the grocery store if the mood hits me. Apparently this place opened near my brother’s house so my niece and I went to pick up donuts for the family. When we walked in there was a line and a lot of empty space in the donut case but still some really fabulous looking donuts were left. We got about a dozen donuts, if you want to call them that. Most of them were big enough to share. We had one topped with Oreo cookie filling and cookie crumbles. One was topped with Bavarian cream and berries. Another was filled with Bavarian crème then topped with more cream, strawberries, and a drizzle of chocolate. We had an apple fritter and a bear claw and some cronuts. Needless to say, we all had our fill and still had plenty left over for the next morning.

Is it possible to have a better experience than that of which I was privileged to at The Donut House? Absolutely not. I met the owner 2 doors down at another establishment and we made small talk. When it came up that he was the owner of The Donut House, I was invited over to have a taste. Good donuts are hard — no, damn near impossible — to find in Denver where I pitch my tent; naturally I was excited to see what this small Family-owned establishment had to offer. Nothing could have prepared me for the hospitality I received. Nor the flavor and texture I experienced when I popped one of those puppies in my mouth. Perfection. Seriously. Nowadays people are subject to Duncan and Voodoo(which I suppose have their own merits. I have no intention of badmouthing them) but this is the donut done right. With love of the craft and respect for the ingredient. You will not be disappointed in these little balls of flavor. So pop into The Donut House, say hi to Mo and his family, and enjoy the ride.

I’m originally not from Colorado and moved here over a year ago. Initially I became very disappointed in the quality of food in Castle Rock to the point that I thought nothing here could ever be any good. I’ve lived in many states and countries and haven’t seen such a broad spectrum of disappointment in such a little area before… …until I found this gem. You may be thinking, «It’s just doughnuts, who cares,» but I can honestly say this place does in fact have great doughnuts. I’ll bring a couple random dozen boxes to the office and my collegues are all blown away. Probably because they’re so used to the hum-drum Denver restaurant yawn scene. Walk in, order a random dozen, take them to your office to share, become a hero. Simple.

First time we’ve been there. We went on based on the reviews hoping that there would be one really good donut shop in Castle Rock. +‘s: The donuts themselves were very tasty. The people behind the counter were very polite. -‘s: The smell walking in the door was definitely not donuts. The place needed to be cleaned especially the tables and floors in front. My wife’s grandfather owned a restaurant and told her that the dining area and the restrooms are a good indication of what the kitchen looks like. Bottom line– Not returning.

Best donuts in town! Small donut shop with great service. The peanut butter brownie and the Oreo donuts are my favorite. A little pricey but well worth it!

This is a fantastic little shop, and super close to home. My husband loves the fact that they have cronuts! Like other reviewers have mentioned, this place doesn’t just bake one batch and call it a day — they are continuously re-stocking and they seem to have a pretty good routine now that they’e been open for a while. Happy to support a great local business!

I have been here 3 times now and I’ve only eaten once. The first time there I got some of their croissant holes, which were pretty good. I came back again at about 7:00 am the following week to pick up some for my colleagues at work, but unfortunately they didn’t have any and said they wouldn’t for about an hour. Weird, but ok, I’ll try again later. I came back the following week at 8:30 am to try and order some again. Once again, they didn’t have them made yet. Apparently their croissant holes aren’t a breakfast item? Their croissant holes were good, but not good enough for me to keep trying to give these guys my money with no luck. I give up.

Just tried the Donut House for the first time after hearing about it all over town. Super to have a new donut shop! Safeway donuts are better than King Sooper or Walmart, but the Donut House is gourmet. Tried the Croissant donut. So good! Their donuts are very much on the sweet side, so if that’s not your thing go for something without glaze. A mocha and big croissant donut were $ 7.48 out the door. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and clearly glad to have happy customers at their new shop. I’ll be back with the family!

Yes!!! The croissant donut is ah-may-zing!!! Warm and doughy, with a touch of crispiness on the outside. It’s perfect! We also got an apple fritter to share, and husband loved it! We got there around 10:30 and there was a line. About a 15 min wait. But well worth it. Will return!
