We stop in for breakfast almost every Sunday morning — typically either a bagel with cream cheese(amazing!), or a breakfast sandwich(bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin, thank you very much). We LOVE the Speeder and Earl’s Maple coffee! The staff are always warm and friendly… they make it a great experience on top of the great food.

The Bakery has the best bread I have ever tasted, the sandwiches are delicious, the goodies are delightful, the coffee is superb and the staff is warm and friendly! There are indoor and sidewalk tables available to relax, chat with friends or hang out for a while and study.

This place is really called The Bakery at Roots… Roots is apparently a restaurant in town? And now I certainly want to try that as well! Very cute little local café/bakery with indoor or outdoor seating options. Clean, friendly service, and a cute country vibe. Lots of veggie options in addition to meaty stuff… salads, sandwiches, hot/cold drinks, and an array of pastries/baked goods. Seems like a lot of fresh, local ingredients(though guessing about the local bit as didn’t actually inquire). I loved my butternut squash sandwich — a unique combo of squash purée, goat cheese, fresh greens, and pickled onions on yummy bread. Delish! We bought a package of day-old peanut butter cookies which were somewhat less satisfying(a bit dry… but likely b/c day-old…and not quite as sweet as I like… but I’m a sugarholic!). Overall, though, this place was fantastic and highly recommended!
