Huang Heng Kee Floors

I was referred to Hong Heng Kee Floors by a co-​worker who had them refinish hardwood floors in her house. She loved them and told me to give them a call. I did so and I am so happy I did. I spoke with Julie (the owner’s daughter) and arranged to have her dad come for an estimate to refinish my hardwood dining room and kitchen floor.
I’ve had floors refinished before by Amber flooring in Berkeley — and they did a great job — but weren’t cheap. I held my breath as Mr. Hong walked around my damaged floor, a thoughtful look on his face. Then he gave me his quote and I knew I’d called the right company, it was half what Amber would have charged me. Being tight on money (like everyone else these days) I went ahead and contracted with him, a little nervous that this was too good to be true — but also trusting in my co-worker’s positive experience.
Mr. Hong told me he would return the next day at 9am to start the two day proccess and true to his word, he was outside my front door at 9am sharp the next morning. He sanded the floor down with a minimum of sawdust using a very cool sander that seemed to suck the debris back into itself, didn’t nick my baseboards and left my floors looking brand new. Bona is the polish he applied and it made my new looking floor look gorgeous. The next day his partner appeared, exactly on time, to apply the second coat and I have to say, the job they did was worth every penny — actually double! I couldn’t recommend them more. If you’re looking to have your floors refinished, you can’t go wrong with Mr. Hong. At the very least get an estimate, then decide.
