Rented kayaks all day for $ 30. The owner is very nice. If you rent 5 times you get a free all day rental. Please ask the owner for details. It’s located right beside a marina and convenience store.

Being the first is usually good. And this will be the first time that I am writing a review of a business before anybody else so it feels awesome. The best part about this is that I can honestly say/​write that this is a trip worth making from Charlotte or other cities.
The little place is run by a man and his brother who helps out. They don’t look like the most friendly guys on the planet but you’ll find out that they’re good people once you start talking to them.
The best part about LIPS is that the route they suggest leads you to a small but beautiful waterfall. It’s a serene, cool experience. I didn’t post pics of the waterfall because I want you to find it yourselves. Can’t promise that everyone will like it but it’s more interesting to search for something rather than to just paddle from point A to wherever.
Lastly, I do want to mention that though they have single, two, three person kayaks, there’s only full-​day rentals unlike some places with half-​day options. Hope you have fun!
