You can usually tell just by the salsa how good the food will be at a Mexican restaurant. Theirs was bad.

Came here to get some carne asada fries to go and a corona while I wait, service was good, it was nice and clean no lines for my corona but that’s okay.

Food is just ok. Service was bad. I ordered two tacos and ended up w/two tortas. When I told the cashier my order was wrong, I was told it was my fault. Won’t be going back anymore.

Best shredded beef Taco’s in the Coachella valley. The Flautas are amazing. Nice little salsa bar as well.

I use to go here often until today. The girl at the counter taking my order did not even care to listen to my order and of course she got it wrong. When I told her that it was wrong she told me «no you ordered it that way» did’t offer to fix it or anything and just walked away. Im pretty sure that girl doesn’t even have a brain so I’m understanding of her disability… But the service is terrible here and the décor is very dated and drab. Seems like they hire their family members who really don’t care about the business and are just there for a easy job.

For good Mexican food this is the spot to go. If you would like a cold one also to go with your food they have it.

Great taquitos and chips. Soda machine was broken otherwise they would have got a 5 star

Didn’t care for the chips or salsa. If you don’t have good salsa at a taqueria there’s really no point is there? Menu was too large and kinda confusing. Nothing about the food would bring me back.

We stopped here because it’s right off the highway and it looked like a decent place. Which it is. The ceviche tostada was just alright. Ceviche should be items that have been marinated together. The right ingredients were in it. They just get introduced five minutes before you eat them so the shrimp has no time to sit in some lime juice and onions. So the shrimp just tastes like shrimp. The senior plate is the best deal here. And it comes with the best tasting beans I’ve had in a very long time.

Like little independent burger joints, little hole-in-the-wall Mexican food restaurants are a dime a dozen in southern California. And like those little indie burger joints, 9 times out of 10 you’re gonna hit out of the park. LCTS is for sure in that 90th percentile. Standard fast-food Mexican fare. And what’s even better is that it’s not that greasy slop that Santana’s just across the street is serving up and the chips are free! Craving carne asada tacos or a chicken torta when you’re in Cat City? LCTS will take care of that for you. And they’ll take your credit card too.

Stopped by on our way to Palm Desert. We were hungry. I ordered three soft tacos, my friend ordered the steak ang egg breakfast burrito. Both were delicious. The service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.

I go here for the California burrito and Boy is it good. They have two shops on in this location and another in Bermuda Dunes. This location is nicer than the other but still has that hole in the wall feel that most good taco shops have. needless to say I“ll be back

If you want a decent taco shop and not a good sit down restaurant this might fit the bill for you. I have stopped here more than a few times and I have found that there are some hits and misses. First, this is a small shop with decent parking, but the ambiance leaves a bunch to be desired. The staff is not the most helpful, but they will take your order and prepare you a decent meal. Stick to the basics like tacos, burritos and some combos. Stay away from some of the more advanced dishes that are dependent on the sauce as they tend to be a little salty and under seasoned. Stick with the basics and this place will take care of your needs.

While on a hunt for a piece of furniture, we ended up in this shopping center that has a few places that might carry the occasional table we want. But we needed a quick lunch, and Las Carretas was right there. Prices were cheap, especially when you look at the quantity. I only ate half of my torta with carnitas and was full. It was good enough that I wanted to keep eating the rest, but I practiced self-control. The free chips and salsa were a highlight. The chips were fresh and tasty. I loved the pickled zanahorias(look! I know the Spanish word for carrots) and the medium salsa, which was chunky and fresh. I tasted some of the meat from the bf’s taco al pastor, and it was pretty good too. Counter service was fine for me. The cashier was friendly and offered us more chips if we wanted them. I’ll be back when I need a cheap, filling meal. The bf also wants to go back to try their cheladas; none for me, thanks. But if I need a junk food fix, I will be there for carne asada fries(aka crazy fries). I don’t care much about authenticity. I’ve never been to Mexico, but I like food that tastes good.

OMG!!! This is the best taco shop in the Palm Springs Area! Its located across from the Trader Joes and Boomers on East Palm Canyon Drive. I ordered the shredded beef chimichanga with rice and beans. The beef is tender and has a great flavor… The refried beans are made to perfection. The rice was okay, but I added salsa to it to improve the flavor and make it a little spicy. They give you complimentary chips, which is nice. The salsa bar has a wide selection of salsas, watch out for the X-hot, its very hot! The service is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the restaurant and bathrooms are clean. I don’t get why this place has bad reviews, but people are entitled to their own opinions I guess…

Before checking out a movie at the Mary Pickford, Jeff and I stopped here for a quick bite, to avoid paying exorbitant prices for concessions at the theater. He said that he had been there before and liked it. Walking in, I saw a sign that advertised that they had«authentic» food. That is generally a warning sign. That sign LIED. I ordered the sopes combo. I asked for carne asada on the sopes. It came with rice and beans. The sopes had a great flavor, not too heavy nor greasy. There was a dollop of sour cream on top. They were garnished with lettuce and tomatoes. The carne asada was super dry. It had been cooked to death or left out for several hours to dry out. The rice was dry and flavorless. The beans were a little salty, but not horrible. I liked that they had some cheddar cheese on top that wasn’t melted. Jeff ordered a chicken enchilada. The chicken was fresh tasting and moist, but way too salty. I think he enjoyed it, but he hasn’t really had good enchiladas to know the difference. Jeff had ordered a small guacamole. It came in a tiny cup, like the kind you use for salsa. Whatever he paid for it, it was too much. It did have a good flavor, though. He also tried some salsa from the salsa bar. It had orange juice and orange peel in it. It was sweet and bizarre. I thought it was repulsive. The only thing that made this place get two stars instead of one was the pickled carrots on the salsa bar. I could have eaten the whole little tray of them. Perfectly pickled. If I go back, I’ll just eat the carrots. They were that good.
