I’ve been a client here for several years. I’m hesitant to write too highly of this auto repair shop because I don’t want it to be so crowded that I can’t get in. Mirko is a very honest and hard working mechanic. He has integrity and doesn’t do more than is needed, but gets the job done and, unless there unforeseen difficulties, it’s finished on time. This is a «no frills» place, but when I need a repair I’d rather have good, quality service than a fancy lounge. I always feel safe, even if there are valuables in my car when I drop it off. This is an honest, great repair shop.

I’ve been taking my car to Mirko for 15 years now and I’ve never been disappointed. The many times I wanted him to simply look at everything and fix anything he could find I would simply get a charge for an oil change telling me nothing needed to be done/​fixed. He’s kept my car running for more then 13 years without any major problems or expensive bills (yes I was paying more as my car was getting older but nothing like I would have paid had I taken my car to Honda). Mirko has a great disposition and will tell you like it is. Honest, hard-​worker and overall great guy!

A local box store did an oil change on my wife’s 2012 Honda. They could not replace/​repair it. Their Risk Management estimated the repair at over $ 500.00 at the dealer. (thank you to their willingness to get it fixed right). My wife’s cousin has been trying to get us to use Mirko for years. I finally gave in and $ 133 dollars later the car is fixed and done properly.

The most honest mechanic I’ve ever been to. Nothing is overpriced. Dealerships and Goodyear don’t compare. Stark’s knows exactly what to do and the mechanic doesn’t act clueless like some of the chain repair shops do. He has been doing this for a long time. I would say their prices are about 200% better than Goodyear.

Rancho Mirage, CA
Finding a competent and honest mechanic is always a challenge. Dealerships upsell notoriously and are really expensive. Many independents go through mechanics quickly and those high turnover guys are not always the best skilled people.
Mirko is a gem. He actually was a mechanical engineer in Bosnia before coming here during the war some twenty years ago. We take all of our cars to him for out of warranty and routine maintenance. He backs his work and his diagnosis is always spot on.
Mirko is highly recommended.
