I should have taken the advice of the other Unilocalers. Very poor service to strangers. This is a local hangout full of stuck up old men. The staff makes you feel invisible.

Fun bar, used to go quite often when I lived closer and stopped by for happy hour and the bartender remembered me which was nice. Pour a good drink here and prices are right on. Nice and upscale inside, but dont expect to find any 21 yo twinks dancing away here. Very relaxed mature crowd here. Nice spot for an evening cocktail when you just want to relax.

Lenny is rude — when asked about volume, his comment was«if you don’t like leave» This is unacceptable.

Studio One-11 is one of those hard to classify but hard to miss kind of joints… Generally the older set is entrenched in this cozy, comfy hip place, but it can be fun for everybody… Music is usually subdued… Karaōke sometimes, live performances others, even a piano bar show from time to time. Generally relaxed and quiet — not a loud dance bar at all… Staff is generally attentive and prices are good… Atmosphere is «clubby» with leather and chrome and glass and that«trendy» modernist vibe. Lots of parking in the lot and restaurants nearby. DECEMBER2015 — I’m more than a little annoyed at a recent experience. I was going to meet some folks at Studio One-11 the other night and got there a bit early. I walked up to the drink station and was acknowledged by the bar back(who was sweeping up the floors and clearing some empties from the tables) and waited for the bartender. And waited. And waited. And waited… while he fiddled with some papers and the register/POS terminal(which is on the other side of the bar from the drink station)… And waited some more. Another customer started to walk up, stopped, looked at my and then looked at the bartender and went over to the other side of the bar — where the bartender promptly looked up and started to take care of this other patron. And completely ignored me. Totally. Completely. 100%. Normally, I’ve had good experiences at the bar, but this really turned me off. This was just absolutely rude by the bartender. As I’ve been a bartender, I know that you need to be attentive of the bar and keep your eyes moving and looking at your customers — scanning the room and the bar area for anybody needing to place an order. This particular bartender(didn’t get his name — I was too ticked off and just left the bar and suggested to others that we meet at another place!)… It’s really a shame when a bit of inattention by one can ruin the experience and the night.

Patrons are allowed to bring dogs into the bar. The staff say it’s ok, because its a «service dog». Ridiculous.

Great gay lounge and piano bar with nightly entertainment. Friendly and comfortable and upscale without attitude.

This place is like the gay Cheers of Cathedral City. I go on Thursday nights for Karaōke with Lenny. The waiter is usually Terry. The crowd is jolly and gay. Yes, it’s a «wrinkle room» but the patrons and the staff couldn’t be nicer.

Strong drinks, ok atmosphere, poor service. Waited ten minutes for a waiter, finally ordered at the bar.

Just walked in for happy hour. Bartender didn’t bother to mention the house pinot grigio was two bucks more than the Chardonnay. And then was arrogant about it. Won’t happen to me here again for sure.

My partner and I came here during a weekend visit to Palm Springs. We went there on a Friday evening after a delicious dinner at Johannes. I was drawn to the positive reviews on Unilocal – specifically the positive commentary on the welcoming atmosphere. We were not disappointed. Our waiter was notably warm and friendly; he offered us the kind of service you wish you could get at every bar: we felt appreciated and as if our business was valued. There was a singer belting out several tunes, most of which we didn’t know, but it was pleasant nonetheless. Perhaps the music connected better with the relatively older clientele(we’re in our 30’s). Regardless, being able to relax with my gin and tonic while soaking in the tunes and relishing in the refreshing ambience felt like one of those moments in life in which you just get to exhale and let go. The only reason I couldn’t commit myself to 5 stars is the somewhat off-putting location/façade. In one way the location is neat because it’s far from the hubbub, yet it’s situated in what amounts to a poorly lit strip mall. Just from our initial impressions upon driving up, we almost didn’t go in. I just wish this bar could find a somewhat more upscale location that matched its level of class.

A great place to sit back and relax. Good drinks, great bartenders and staff. Always had a nice time when I lived across the street and it was so convenient also. Always stop by for a visit when in town.

We were looking for a place to have drinks and hang out… just chill and sit back. This is the perfect place on a Saturday Night. Our crowd was a little loud but everyone there was nice. The Bartender was amazing, very nice helpful and made great drinks.

This is a really nice bar. During the week they have karaōke, jazz or happy hours where the staff brings chicken for everyone in the room. The owner Richard is a hard working man and goes out of his way to greet probably everyone walking into his bar. The place is decorated quite nicely, there’s a big television monitor inside the bar area showing old classic films. A few neon lights here and there, with candle-like lights around the bar, just looks nice. Drinks are good and great ambiance too. Definitely a fan!

My partner and I don’t go out much, we’ve been together forever, and really aren’t into the bar scene. We decided to go out with a couple of friends, but wanted to sit back, talk, and have a few cocktails. Studio One 11 is the place to do just that!

Mr. and Mr. Neighbor invited me to tag along for a drink here… In the past, I’ve been comfortable in gay bars(after living in NYC with a gay roommate I’ve been to my share – don’t start with the Will and Grace jokes), but honestly, when I walked in to the very dark space, my first impression was, hell, what have I gotten myself into? I was the only woman there. BUT… within a few minutes of talking with the affable, very handsome bartender and the older gentlemen sitting next to me, I knew I was in for a fun couple of hours. Pretty relaxed, friendly, and the drinks are very strong($ 2 happy hour cocktails!)… Enjoyed the lounge ambiance a lot. Wish the piano player was there, and if my friend from NYC visits me, I’ll surely take him here.

Wonderful place to meet real local people with whom you can have decent conversation. The afternoon spent here was great and the piano bar was amazing. The drinks was decent and the atmosphere, well for you to find out!!! Recommended

Just returned too the desert after a 3 year absence, a friend wanted to meet for cocktails and suggest Studio One 11, I have to say I was presently surprised! I remember the location from many failed attempts at bars, they’ve done a great job remodeling the place so now it’s more conducive to getting your mingle on! The result is a comfortably chic, stylishly simple lounge where even the snobbiest can relax their expectations and get their cocktail on. A great little patio for those who prefer to sit outside or partake in a smoke or two. Everyone was friendly, a good mix of ages(30’s on up), were present and the music was at a tolerable level for conversation. Drinks are moderately priced — but poured heavy & stiff, and who doesn’t like a stiff one every now and again! Simply put, Studio One 11 has given us a place for ‘regulars’ to comfortably enjoy their favorite adult beverage.

I came here with an Older friend who lives in the Las Palmas area of PS, we drove here for cocktails. It’s a fun place filled with Mature Older Men, which I love. I am interested in mature men :). Men ranging from 50 to 90s, and you have me, in my 20s. *If you’re younger and attractive. You’ll get hit on :)* Men come here to meet potential LTR or just sex. You see all walks of life here, from poor older men to avg income men to the filthy rich men. A lot of out of towner visit here. I am from Beverly Hills, LA area. If you’re a Mature Older guy reading this post. Send me a pm. I would like to hear from you and possibly be friends.

I came here, kind of reluctantly, with my brother and his partner of 21 years. It was their anniversary. They had come to the desert to get away from the constant buzz of LA. My brother, Jess, is my idol. He has had a successful career in an industry that grinds people into edible bits. But, Jess has never given into any negativity. He has always been there for me. Twelve years older than me, and ten times smarter, he gave me courage to persue my dreams, the tools I needed when I got knocked down, and best of all, the foresight not to be judgmental. So, when he asked me if I knew of a quiet gay lounge… maybe a piano bar where we could chat… I remembered reading an article in the Desert Sun about a nice piano bar that was going be opening soon. What could I say? «I’m a nice straight kid that likes to wear his pants too tight»… naw. So, I went hoping no one would notice me. It’s a new place. Open just a few months… they were totally packed. It is in a location next to the Thai fast food. In previous lives it was ‘Del Fuego’ and then ‘Delilah’s’… Menus from the Thai joint were on the tables. So, I’m assuming they will deliver to your table. They had a terrific Jazz Piano Player. Everything was very low key, by no means loud. The owner has gone after capturing the business of older, successful, gay men, and has done a great job. There were a lot of women there as well. By the time we left, we had met everyone in the place. and had made many new friends. It didn’t seem like anyone was out cruising. They were just there for a good time. If you are looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to listen to some good music with friends. this is the place to go.
