I had been wanting to visit this store for ages. It must be the largest store in cave creek. Apon entering this huge emporium of kitchen meca, there were 2 sale staff at the entrance. There was barely aknowlegement given.(Did i mention the store was empty?). To break the ice(kinda intimidating, due to the huge expanse), I asked for their cooking class schedule. This was handed to me, but no other information, nothing pointed out to me, no dates nor ‘coming’soon’ events. Also, neither clerk(I think 1 was the manager, possibly even the owner), gave any direction whatsoever. Not 1 «can i help you» nor a «you should check out our new markdowns» or even«what brings you here/have you been here before». In the 45 minutes that we were wondering the store, only 1 other customer came into the store, very quickly in then out, i think they made a 1 item purchase. In that entire time, not once were we approached and asked if they could assist us. I find this very wierd, considering the economy(i mean, seriously, who really needs a &100 plate — $ 97 paper towel holder — $ 140 for a fry pan? how about a mug for $ 51, no? butter dish for $ 100? I’ll take 2 — not! but i want that cake plate for $ 360 — ya, ok) Apon check-out, there was barely an ackowlegement of our transaction, definatley no «thank you» nor«come back again soon». I thought that was so rude, definatley un-inviting, especially since it was dead: they were NOT busy, far from it. I had also thought I’d be interested in their cooking classes, but at $ 75(avg) per person I think not. I mean $ 150/couple? NO thanx.
