For an off the beaten path view of Goergia, the Trip to the city of Cave Spring is a fun adventure. Entry to the cave is $ 1. The kids had a blast running all over exploring. It isn’t very large, but the natrual spring that formed the cave produces all the water for the city of 900. It is clean and cold, and you can take it home with you in jugs if you bring emptys. The park also houses a bed and breakfast, a chapel, a reception hall, and a number of picnic pavillions. If you wish to use a picnic table, there is a nominal fee to ensure you have one to yourself. The Largest fresh water pool, I believe in America, is also located in this park. $ 5 admission keeps you swimming all day. Very cool town. Many of the buildings are from the mid 1850’s. Close to Alamaba, and a nice watering hole while Riding through the countryside

Rolater Park can be pretty crowded with children and family reunions, especially on a Sunday in the middle of Summer. Still this park is very nice. It features several covered pavilions, spots to wade or fish in the river, a swimming hole and, of course, the actual cave of Cave Spring. The cave is totally worth the $ 1 admission. If you visit during the month of August, like I did, the constant cool temperature is such a relief from the sweltering heat outside. Be sure to bring a bunch of empty jugs because visitors are allowed to take water from the spring free of charge!
