I love this place, seriously. The wine is fantastic, but the atmosphere is even better. The two owners are always welcoming and eager to engage in lively conversation. With views of the ocean, a wide selection of varietals, and fun stories to be shared there simply isn’t a better spot in Cayucos.

In cayucous for a wedding and stumbled on to this place for a wine tasting and found a real gem. Spent time with the owner and sampled truly delish wines and had just a really great conversation. She offered great recommendations for paso robles and it had amazing Pacific Ocean sunset views. If you are in this beach town do yourself a favor. Go. Taste wine. But wine. Hang with the owners and locals. You won’t regret it.

This place is great. The owner is so sweet and helpful, it has a laid back vibe to it and a great selection. None of the snooty vibes that sometimes come with wineries. Just a friendly, classy place. They serve food too, which looks yummy but I didn’t taste it. Try a corktail, they’re delicious!

Check out this Hidden gem!!! While I’m a local, I had never been to Full moon-and it was a treat! What a fun place to sit and hang out with friends! While I’m reviewing as a non wine drinker, my friends were very happy with their wine, and the lovely ladies behind the bar created a customized sparkly mocktail for me. That, along with a divine cheese plate and excellent, friendly service, will definitely have me coming back!

We had such a nice time tasting wines here. This is a very cute place. The owners were so nice and we enjoyed talking with them very much. I would definitely recommend this place. Perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. Don’t miss checking this place out!

Big fan of the ambiance, staff and wine selection. They carry a ton of local wines and good selection of imported as well. The seating is comfy and they make you feel welcome. I really enjoyed the Sunday brunch, these Moon girls know how to make some good food. Good, quaint and enjoyable!

I was walking around Cayucos getting a lay of the land and the wine bar caught my eye. There are several places to get a drink and I am glad I chose Full Moon. The space is attractive and comfortable, the hostesses convivial and the prices very reasonable. If you want to know more about Cayucos ask Janet, she’s a gem and very knowledgeable.

I believe this is the only wine bar in Cayucos! It’s a small spot with about 8 bar seats and a few small tables, but the wine list is quite long for the size of the bar. My eyes were immediately drawn to the bubbles — I haven’t had a bellini in years but that felt like the right move. And it was! The bartender/owner was understaffed that night but did a great job getting drinks out to everybody. They have limited food options so probably not a great place to go for a meal but for a pre-dinner or post-dinner drink.

Sure, the bubbly we had was delicious. Sure, the balcony and view and interiors are all lovely. But all that pales in comparison to how wonderful the people are: I asked them to help me pop the question and they were perfect, down to the little things like including a beautiful cute vase with flowers next to the bottle, ice bucket and flutes. They made getting engaged that much better and I will always remember them with thanks and appreciation. Would never go to cayucos without stopping by for some wine and fun.

We stopped in here for a quick wine tasting on our first day of vacation. I had the white wine flight and my sisters each tried the red. The sparkling white was delish! All the other wines were just ok. The bartender was fantastic!!! She was friendly and informative. She gave us a map and recommendations for wineries to try. We also met some very nice local ladies who showed us the whales migrating out on the horizon line. It was amazing! This was a fantastic start to our vacation. It really highlighted all the friendly people we would meet in town. Thanks ladies! We’ll be back.

We tried to go in for lunch but they were closed so we went to lunch and stopped by after to get an afternoon cap. Our intentions were to grab a nice glass of wine and head back home. Instead we had a flight of reds that led to 3 more glasses drank and 2 bottles bought. One of which I served to guests last night… they loved it… but I digress… I feel certain that if the ladies who run this establishment hadn’t been there we would have had that one glass and been out, but they were so interesting and great to talk to. The energy was quite engaging and we stayed for 3 hours. And ya know what? I’m looking forward to next time!

Unilocal reviews led us the short walk from our suite. we had great expectations, but wines on the menu were not available, which did not go well with me and my mate. the owner is sharp, friendly and a whirlwind of energy, but the magnificent view of the ocean is to your back when you are tasting and talking wine. a wine bar with a view of the ocean! i’m the designated decoy. drinking wine is not for me. i would have liked a refreshment, but was offered none. the great gal behind the bar assisted my excellent wife and the other guests very well. my excellent wife bought a bottle of haka chardonnay, which she said is «pretty good». hours are 4pm to 10pm, which is unusual, but when checking out of any hotel at the noon hour, you cant t obtain a case to take home…

If you don’t have the time to go wine tasting in Paso Wine Country, the $ 10 tasting of 5 wines is a great deal and helps hone the pallet. You’ll like at least 2 of the 5 wines and the cheese plates are ok. Staff is amazingly educated. A great jump off before heading to Hoppe’s or Cass House.

How could I not have reviewed my favorite wine bar outside of the 5 Cities? Beautiful view, when I come in to the bar, and I will tell you to drive from Nipomo to Cayucos, it has to be for this reason, and this reason only — it’s comfortable. It’s like being welcome into a private club where all are welcome. The gals running it are everyone’s friend and will find you something you like and may even find you something that you love. Go here for a nip before Hoppe’s and watch the sunset or for a sip before you walk to your vacation rental. It’s one of my favs and will be yours too.

Romantic getaway to Cayucos for the weekend and stopped in this fine establishment for a wine tasting! We had a tapas plate as well with homemade edamame hummus which was very delicious! The help was lovely and very friendly. Knowledgable on all the wines, complete with stories and perfect pairings. I’d go back to this place — but they do need to work on their lighting inside, it was a little dark!

You could spend a week wine tasting in the Paso Robles or Edna Valley regions and not find as many great local wines by the taste/glass/bottle as you will find in this local wine bar/bistro. The owners are super nice and extremely informative. The food menu is limited and changes every day, but on the bright side, they are selecting local(if possible) organic, farm produced products to serve, including: local veggies, artisan bread, gourmet cheeses, aged meats and local tree-ripened fruits. Their handcrafted dips are to die for. Petite sandwiches, sublime(Make sure to ask for the day’s special). In a town full of tourist trap restaurants(Hoppe’s excluded) and local bars that are hard to feel comfortable in, Full Moon really is a great place to soak up what makes Cayucos, and the central coast, a truly wonderful place to visit or call home.

Awesome little tasting room along the«main drag» of Cayucos. Big selection of wines, and you can build your own flight(from ~3−4 oz pours) or tasting set(of ~1oz pours), or have them build one for you. The super friendly and helpful pourer built a flight for my husband and one for me, both out of central coast wines, and she had stories about each wine. The winemakers for the town’s wine came in, too. They had non-local and international wines, too, but I was feeling central coast-curious. Really good(local?) cheeses, too. That Ewe-phoria… yum. One thing to note: although they say«bistro» on their sign, they seem like more of a tasting room to me, at least in terms of food. No soup, salad, meals, etc… just good wine and some dips, cheeses, local bread… I’m probably forgetting something. Also fantastic is that they are open LATE(maybe that’s where the«bistro» kicks in). I don’t remember all their hours, but they are open until 10pm on Saturdays! Cayucos is great. I’m so glad I decided to spend a night there on my LA-SF drive!
