Located at the counter inside Daves Diner– the sitting area in the front offers a few comfy couches, chairs and tables and chairs for gathering. Super casual with lots of interesting art on the walls. The coffee is worth going in for and its kid friendly. They offer some fine baked goodies too. A better option than the local dunkin for sure but sadly their public restroom doesn’t fair much better.

The Common Ground is attached to the front of Dave’s Diner and I think a lot of people assume it’s just part of the Diner which is why it only has one other review! I will admit that it wasn’t our first choice this particular day. We had wanted to try another coffee shop down the street but it was closed on Black Friday, so thanks Common Ground for saving the day! My Aunt and I both ordered a soy Mocha and chose one of the high top tables in front near the door to enjoy our drinks and chat. It was a perfect spot, very conveniently located on the main st in Caz, plenty of parking in the lot, or on the street. The mocha was delish, and I’d love to go back and try other drinks, as well as some of the breakfast/pastry type items they had to offer.

HEY, why doesn’t this place have a Unilocal!review!!! It’s a classic small college town community coffee place(plus Dave’s Diner – a«finer diner.») Lots of comfy chairs, local art, a place to gather, meet friends, find out about events – coffee, cannoli, other homemade pastries. Best of all, not a Starbucks.
