Quality ethnic food is nearly impossible to find in Cedar, but this place is awesome! It is absolutely refreshing to have some decent food that is reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend.

We had lunch today and got completely ripped off. The menu is incomplete, price of naan bread was not included. The guy in mustache is shady, when I asked if Chicken Curry($ 8.99) included rice and naan, he said yes but the waiter brought us only rice. We then asked for naan bread and he charged us $ 8.75 for 4 pieces of naan, which is completely off the roof as all other meal items also were in the range of $ 8.00. He also took the tip we left for the server. I do not recommend this place because the food is not worth it at all.

I ate at the Bombay Café in St George and the proprietor there told me of his new store in Cedar. This is my first meal here and I love it! The place is bright and clean. Maybe a bit more could be added to the décor, but it’s pleasant. I had the chicken vindaloo and my wife had the spinach paneer. And, of course, naan. I’ve never had vindaloo, and with the proprietor’s suggestion, I have found my new favorite Indian dish. On a scale of 1 – 10 for heat, I chose 4… for me, it is tools. Maybe a 6 next time. My wife loved her dish too. The naan, not impressed. But, I came for the dinner, not the bread. Will return again.

I absolutely love their original location in Saint George, Utah! I happened to be en Cedar City for a business meeting and found this second location right there on Main Street! The food… where to begin! If you are any sort of fan of Indian food or Curry, you will love it! Each dish is the perfect blend of authentic tastes and spices without being overbearing.

The food had so much oil and taste was okay. The service was good. The food quantity was less.

Best restaurant in Cedar City! Great food, good price. Always eat there when we are late returning from various places.

Super excited that we’ve finally got an Indian food place here in Cedar. Food is pretty good but if you’re a fan of this type of food don’t expect a mind blowing experience. Remember that ordering the Flatbread is by the piece, so order accordingly, two pieces to every entrée.

Indian food at its finest. Good prices for great tastes. Naan texture is great, the masalams and vindaloos are so good. The staff was super super nice and even gave us some free food. Discount if you present an SUUID, I’m grateful for that. Things they could improve: appearance and theme of tables, chair, kitchenware and decorations could use reworking to be presented professionally. Foods wise, it was great. Very nice Bollywood music videos playing on a big TV while we ate helped create atmosphere.

I was a bit skeptical to try this place. This restaurant space has a pretty constant turnover. But on a whim we went to see if it was decent. It’s not. I wish I could say this was fabulous Indian food, as I LOVE Indian food. But not only did it seem to take forever for the food to arrive(as well as ambiance is seriously lacking and the place smells like cleaning solution, not food), but when it did, all the dishes were odd colors. The flavors were mediocre to bad at best, the naan was definitely NOT naan(though I’m sure they don’t have a Tandoori oven, so maybe that’s why). I left with leftovers that went in the trash. Both my husband and I were incredibly disappointed. For reference, we tried the chana masala, chicken vindaloo, and our friends got the chicken tikka masala. We also got an order of samosas that were«off the menu,» but we didn’t even finish them. I wish we could get some ethnic food in town that was actually of good quality. This is not Indian food I have ever tasted before, and I’d rather not taste it again.

There are only a few good places to eat in cedar city. There are TONS of okay food places. Tons of pizza and Mexican. Well I’m so happy I tried Bombay café! I WILL be eating there again. It was so good and priced well. Especially for the quality of the food! We had the chicken tikka masala and the lamb coconut curry. They were both fantastic! The curry is not over powering. It was sweet and herb-tastic. The tikka was creamy tomatoey and spicy. All served over rice. We ordered a medium spice and it was hot! I like hot so it was good for me! The people there were busy but very hospitable. Can’t wait to try more menu items!

So freaking delicious! Who knew that excellent Indian food could exist in Cedar City?! I’m in love with their Spinach Paneer with garlic naan bread. Love that they understand spicyness levels — mild is just enough for a zip without making my nose run. Love it! Hope Cedar City peeps drive past the bland Subways and McDonalds and treat themselves to something different and great! Owner was very personable, checking in on our meal. Kudos!

Really good Indian food. Cedar city needs a place like this to spice it up. It’s a little different style than other Indian/Pakistani food I’ve had but it was still really good.

Stopped into Cedar City for the weekend and happened upon the Best Indian Restaurant in Utah. A brand new, must try place. Great prices and the owner/cook is very friendly.

First off, the food was great. The establishment itself lacks authenticity and is a little uninviting. It is a short order style restaurant, which took me by surprise. But when you get passed all of that and get to the food you are in for a surprise. Although skeptical at first, I am now a huge fan of this restaurant. The lamb curry is my new favorite Indian dish.

Ok, at first I was a bit skeptical. Indian food in Cedar City? Pretty random. Cesar Q and I had seen the reviews and almost didn’t stop in because we feared the food would not be good. We decided, why the hell not give it a shot? So pleased we did! As we walked in there was another table that was just finishing up so we asked them how the food was. The man who appeared to be a local said he loves the food here and comes in often. You place your order at the back of the restaurant and pay when ordering. I actually like this set up as you don’t have to wait around for the check to come. When your done you just get up and go. They have a great selection of food. They offer a nice vegetarian selection too. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, one mild and the other spicy. We spoke with the man taking our order and I asked about the lentils. He said, «do you want the try the best ever lentils?» How could we pass this up? We said heck yeah! For a moment we looked at each other and thought, what the hell did we just what ourselves Into?! Well I’m so glad we took his advice. They were amazing! Perfectly spiced. The chicken tikka was all white meat which I prefer. It was tender and not dry at all. I can honestly say I loved the food here! The portions are just enough. Not to big and not to small. All things we tried were served with a fragrant rice and some diced cucumber salad. I loved the combination! We tried the naan bread and it was good just not what I’m used to. The man said they will be making a more traditional naan in the near future. I look forward to coming back to try it. I found out that the nice man that had been helping us was in fact the owner. He was a very pleasant man who has pride in his work. I think it’s sad that there are negative reviews on this place. If you notice, the negative reviews come from people that don’t actually use Unilocal. It’s the only reviews they have ever left. Pretty shady. If you like Indian food or are wanting to give it a shot, this place won’t disappoint! I hope this restaurant sticks around as its that good. I’m not a huge fan of Chinese food so it’s nice to have another option in this small town.

Ate there again, last night, and my meal was just as amazing as the first! This time I ordered the Butter Chicken and Chicken Coconut Curry, to share with a friend, and they were both delicious. My friend had never eaten Indian food before and loved it as much as I did. I ordered it mild, this time, since my friend doesn’t do spicy. Also, my 14 year old and her friend went there for lunch, last week, and they both raved about their food, too. Chicken Curry, and Chicken Tikka Masala. I can’t wait to try more from the menu. So glad this place is in Cedar City!

I am not certain where the opinions of the other reviewers come from. I have been an Indian food fanatic for 20 years and have had the privilege to eat Indian food at the best restaurants in London, Montréal, Toronto, Boston, and many other metropolises around the world. This is absolutely one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at. It isn’t much to look at — they only opened about two months ago — but I found the staff incredibly courteous and the food incredible. My guest and I ordered three dishes — the Butter Chicken, the Tikka Masala, and the Coconut Vegetable Curry — and loved all three immensely. A personal touch is that the chef actually came out to visit our table and ask how we were enjoying our food. Visiting here was a bit of a leap of faith for me, because I’d read the other extremely negative reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. Definitely worth the visit!

I can only assume that the hater reviews think that Olive Garden is the best Italian and Taco Bell is the pinnacle of Mexican cuisine. When it comes to good, solid Indian food, this place has you covered. About the only thing I’ve found unimpressive is the flatbread, but the entrees more than make up for it.

My wife, son, and I went for lunch, ordered something different, and shared. We all love Indian food and have eaten it all over the world. We had the Chicken Tikka(bright and beautiful in it’s tomato base), the Chicken Vindaloo, and the lamb curry. Each was delightful, hand spiced to our specifications, and presented very attractively. My wife loved the naan, said it was the best she’s ever had. It was indeed delicious and quite thick. The proprietor was very nice, chatted with us for awhile, and when he found out we were there for my son’s 18th birthday, brought the table complimentary mango lassi that was perfect!
