BEST cone in Utah! I love supporting local places and the people here are sweet. The diner menu looks awesome. Who can resist a foot long hot dog with everything?!

Californian visiting the beautiful state of Utah. After a 8 hour visit to Zion, all I could think about was eating a nice juicy burger and milkshake! Hermies is your typical burger shack. Well made burgers for an incredibly affordable price. We tried the Hermies Burger, Rancho, and Patty Melt. All gold. The Hermies is a three patty, four bun behemoth. My friend absolutely enjoyed it. Stand out sides: Fried mushrooms and munchies. The munchies are jalapeño poppers done right! Be still my heart! Literally, if you don’t feel you heart skip a beat from all the fried goodness, you best get yourself checked. Overall, it was a great experience. I’ve read other reviews where people felt a little shunned because they were obviously not from Utah. My group and I were the typical California melting pot and we definitely felt welcomed. The only sad part was that they were out of ice cream so no milkshakes. It’s alright, next time! Thanks for the hospitality.

Pack lots of meat and fresh toppings on a good quality bun and I’m happy. Serve crispy fries and don’t charge me more than $ 7 for the whole meal, now I love you Hermie’s.

I feel bad that i need to do this review because Hermies usually has good food. However, I ordered two hamburgers for lunch and they were both raw. So if you like undercooked meat and the possibility of getting a tapeworm, come on down to Hermies. Gross.

Hermies is not McDonald’s, it is an old fashioned restaurant that cooks food, real food from scratch. When I walked in I noticed it smelled like food cooking, always a good sign. I loved the causal fifties style décor, very comfortable. I ordered a «Hermie.» because that is what my friend ordered. It cost five dollars which is about the same as many large burgers at a fast food chain. It took about ten minutes to arrive compared to the normal five minutes at Wendys or McDs. It was well worth the wait. It was a monster. A giant cheeseburger with three pieces of meat, four pieces of bread, cheese and a slice of ham. I split an order fries and a fancy milk shake, Caramel Oreo I think. It was all good, really good. I loved everything about this place. I regret that I can not eat there again because I do not live there but next time in town Hermie’s will be my first stop. Just to update my review the Hermies also has bacon. Damn that was a good burger.

A decent place to stop on my way through. I had a bacon cheeseburger fries and shake, universal order. The shake was probably the best part, good ice cream and good flavor. The fries were fantastic — I am a big fan. The burger was incredibly underwhelming even with good bacon. The bun was super Soso and The meet was incredibly block, not much flavor. The best part about this place is the customer service and beyond beyond’s, I’ve scarcely ever seen so many kids bop thing with burgers and fries.

Delicious burgers, sandwiches, fries, onion rings, zucchini sticks, and shakes. Hermie’s has been a fixture of Cedar City for over 35 years, at least I’ve been going that long, and their menu is not just the same old thing. If you’re hungry and up for a challenge, don’t miss the Hermie Burger, it’s basically a grilled ham sandwich in a burger with lots of lettuce, onions, pickles, cheese, and some«special sauce» to go with it. Yum! The ultimate«bacon» cheeseburger for less than $ 5 bucks!

The food at Hermies is fairly priced and not too bad. The girl(s) at the counter are not very friendly, but they are not rude really, more like they hate their job and can’t wait to get out of there. Like another place here in Cedar, the owners think that hiring cute young girls is a good strategy to get people to come in, but if they are completely apathetic about being there then is picked up by the customer. Makes eating there a little less fun.

Nothing fancy, burger looked preformed bought kind. Battered fries are great. Chicken strip probably frozen kind. Flat bread great with weird looking butter honey separated mixture but tastes good. Shakes great, Super thick

Total burger yumminess! Huge, multi layered, artery clogging goodness. Falling off the carb free wagon has never tasted so good. Prices are awesome for how much food you get. Fries were crispy yet soft inside, just the way I like them.

The burgers are terrible. The regular burger is smaller than McDonald’s kids meal burger.

I lived in Cedar City for four years while in college and only went to Hermies two months before I graduated. Regrets, man. This place taught me what American food is about. It’s cemented in my memory as the perfect example. I doubt it’s healthy, but that’s not the point. The environment is nostalgic. At only 25 I eat here and think sentimental thoughts about my childhood, and I don’t mean that in the I-need-a-therapist sense. I just mean the food is so good that it makes me want to own a gun or vote republican or something.

Best Burger in Utah!!! We drove 3 hours from Las Vegas just to come here! The Hermie burger is so classic, perfection The fry sauce is the best in the state here, in my opinion. And the fries are superb! This is a must stop if you’re in the area, trust me you won’t regret it!!!

Traveling from Glendale, AZ to Salt Lake City, UT leaves a lot of time on the open road to look up places in towns you may have never heard of until that point in time. I kinda wish I hadn’t heard of this one. We stopped in and had burgers, fries and sodas. Look, either you get what they specialize in or you buy a bag of lettuce somewhere else and eat that. Don’t cry to me because you regret not having the fries. The fries and fry sauce was really tasty. Everyone at Hermie’s from the moment we walked in was happy and a pleasure to deal with. Like I said, we each had a cheese burger, fries and soda, all in all pretty basic fare. It all tasted quite good and had I reviewed at that point, it would have been a higher star review. Later that day and into the night, both of us felt ill. I was worse and while I can’t call it food poisoning, it was just a step away from it. In retrospect, had I not been exhausted from the drive I would have called them to give them a heads up. While I’m sure it was just a fluke and we just happened to get lucky, I would rather post this hoping the management would see it. We dined on 5⁄19 about noon.

Hermies Drive in is now under NEWOWNERSHIP and has been since 04÷01÷12. The reviews before that date do not apply to the new owner.

Great service, friendly staff. Small town feel, which was awesome. I got a quarter pound bacon cheeseburger — it was classic utah style– fry sauce on the burger. The fries were amazing, some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. And they hand made a cherry coke. Highly recommend Hermies.

I don’t get the low reviews, we have been to Hermie’s over and over since we moved to CC in July 2014. Can you say fry bread? ohhh yeah and that honey butter with it. Yum. I have tried the Navajo Taco, taquitos, corn dogs, sweet potato fries, and my mom even had a cup o’ chili(that gal loves a cup of chili, it seems so funny to me, but dipping that fry bread in it was pretty durn good). It’s a good down-home local spot, with a little bit of quirky character. I haven’t had the rude service as mentioned, so maybe that was just a bad day for the person behind the counter. We all have them… anyway, my fav is the burgers and fries, and the good ol’ shake.

I am hooked their chicken tacos and their fish n chips. I love the fact they have Coke and Pepsi on tap.

Food is amazing. They use fresh meats delivered from local meat businesses. It doesn’t get any fresher than that. Everything is made from scratch and tastes amazing. If you want to cure a hangover, grab the Hermie Burger and some deep fried mushrooms. I think most people expect the pre-cooked, sitting in a hot pan hamburger meat speed that fast food joints force on us, but this is made to order food. Well worth the wait. Even the french fries are made to order. Food quality is amazing, and everything is fresh and flavourful. There is definitely a reason this is a local hot spot for old fashioned burgers and shakes. The menu has something for everyone. The chicken tacos are my go to.

Con’s: Rude service! Did not greet us upon arriving. Greeted the people behind us but not us. I was polite with everything, saying«thank you» and they don’t even respond with«you’re welcome» or anything else. People up here are not raised with respect. The servers were Tori & Christiana. Pros: Food is amazing! Burgers are great and so are the specialties! If it wasn’t for the service, I would rate it higher.
