Solid choice for burgers. I was a bit disappointed they didn’t have a potato wedges or sweet potato fries option though. Friendly and quick. Online menu was not mobile friendly though, and cut off half of it so we had to call/bring up the laptop. They were good about leaving things off the burgers though. The vinaigrette dressing was really good on the side salad.

Stopped here on our way to Bryce Canyon. I had not been to a good small town cattle country grill since my travels to Montana in years prior, and this brought me back. Tasty grass-fed beef grilled up right. Also good pie. First time my girlfriend had been to this sort of place, and she was an instant fan. Next time I got to /through Utah, I will probably drive a good 90 minutes out of my way if need be to stop by for lunch or dinner here.

$ 18 for a humongous ribeye steak cooked with butter to perfection! We came in twice during a stopover to Bryce Canyon. The décor is very kitsch and service is diner-grade. They also have homemade pies that were pretty good. We were recommended to come here by the innkeeper at Crystal Inn, and it seems like all the locals eat here as well.

We really like this place, but haven’t been back in awhile because we have been forgotten about, twice. We got sat at a table in the back when they were busy and went unnoticed until I got up to flag someone down, 25 min later. Crap happens so we came back, and the same thing happened again. I understand being busy, but don’t forget about tables in the back. Just be sure to sit somewhere in front and you should be good to go. Great breakfasts! Sausage is homemade and delicious, as is their gravy. Chicken fried steak is awesome, too! Everyone is super friendly, again, just be sure not to sit in the back.

We both got the Manhandler breakfast, I had ham, my wife had bacon, a GREAT value and the hash browns tasted home made, not out of the pack frozen. I had Deja Vu, I think we are here years ago. We will certainly be back

This place has a great heritage in Cedar City, located at the live stock auction, the true cowboy feel rings through the décor and food. They have the best BACON I have ever had. The food is simple but great. I feel like I’m at my grandmas house every time I go. I would highly recommend it to anyone! Especially to BACON lovers!

This is a tiny little place but oh my god the food. The delicious food. I wish I lived in Utah because of this place. Like everyone else said its attached to a place for selling cattle. I didn’t order any meat though(but others in my party did). It was jam packed but they seated us right away and got our drinks started. So not sure about the review that states they don’t welcome people from out of state(maybe they were cranky patrons? We’ve all seen those) If you do nothing else GETTHEBISCUITSANDGRAVY. It comes with four so perfect for sharing. If I wasn’t worried about not fitting into my clothes I could eat them every day. Not only is it delicious but it’s so inexpensive it’s silly. So, go, feed your tummy something it’s going to smile about.

We ate at the Market Grill the other morning and this time it was a lot better than the times before. But the cook was different it was a girl instead of the guy that usually cooks, The food came out hot and quick. It tasted good and was not to greasy.

A nice little café for breakfast and lunch. I’ve been here twice now and I recommend it. Best breakfast prices in town. The manhandler, two eggs, hasbrowns and toast with choice of bacon, sausage, pork chop or ham steak, just $ 5.75. The earlybird specials are great deals. Bacon is thick and not fatty, the sausage patty has a touch of spice to it and is made from scratch. Service was friendly and the atmospher is very pleasant. This is my spot for breakfast whenever I’m in town.

Food was fair service was very poor. Will never go back. Seems like a place for regulars and if you’re not a regular you don’t belong, and they treat you that way

I found this place on Unilocal while passing through town. This place has a interesting story. On Thursdays the other side of the building actually holds livestock auctions. There are stock holding fences behind the building. The Resturaunt is actually pretty small, only 12 tables and 9 seats at the bar. We ordered breakfast and it came a little slow, but was worth the wait. The«manhandler» comes with a little of everything and was delish. Pancakes were also good. I will be back next time I’m in town. GP

This is a very interesting small town diner. The people are very helpful and friendly and the décor is old and dated, but clean and well maintained. The menu is quite small, at least for lunch. There are several burgers and a couple of sandwiches and soups. That’s it. They also have 1 or 2 daily specials, but were sold out of both when we arrived around noon on a Wednesday. I had a bacon cheeseburger and my colleague had the chicken cordon bleu sandwich. Both were okay, but nothing special. They don’t have fries, which I find very odd considering how many burgers they have on their menu. You get soup, potato chips or a green salad as your side. We had green salads and they were good. The ranch dressing was great. So, yah, this place is A-OK.

I stayed in Cedar City for 2 months and went to Market Grill every weekend. This place is the perfect diner to grab a delicious brunch. Nothing fancy. They keep the menu simple and make the food good. You are always seated quickly by the hostess, greeted quickly by the waitress, and food comes out hot and just how you order it. I never expected a Michelin Star quality restaurant because that is not what they are trying to achieve. Simple, affordable, delicious food is what they aim for and they hit it every time.

Yes, no frills, but wow this food is awesome. Breakfast is great. The pancakes & bacon or sausage is simply the best anywhere. The burgers taste like they did way back when(real beef). Oh, buy the way homemade pie.

Nostalgia of the locals is what keeps this place in business. The food is straight out of the Sysco cans. Breakfast is bacon, eggs, and pancake type affair. Plenty of it, and all served by a friendly staff. It is comfort food, not bad, but not great. Pretty much the type of establishment that you find in every Western small town, small, friendly, mediocre, but legendary for the locals.

Breakfast sustenance for the weary traveler. We scooted in just before the 11:00 deadline. All three of us got corned beef hash because it was the good canned stuff — just how we like it. Eggs were cooked nicely and portions were gargantuan! Very casual little diner with attentive and nice service. Breakfast is A-OK! Lots of bang for your buck. We sampled pancakes as well. The butter was a winner. Whipped up and super spreadable. I’d go back to fill my belly for another car ride.

A good, but not a great, steak. It’s what i’d call a «rancher’s» steak as in «it’s the steak I’d get from my own cattle and serve you for dinner.» if you’re looking for a thick-cut and aged steak, go up to one of them fancy-pants places in the city. The taste was fine. Now the downside… it took them a couple of tries to get the steak right. I wanted medium rare. The first was medium-well. At $ 17.95 I expected a perfect steak. Mittigating factor: it was the end of the day and the cook was getting distracted by a weird caller. So it goes… Anyway, it’s a good place, probably a bit overpriced. Still… it beats the heck out of places that TRY to look like a ranch steak house. This is the real thing.

This place was a real gem. Classic, no frills fare. The waitstaff was delightful, and clearly skilled. The food was well cooked, and delicious.

Be prepared to be surprised. The initial run-down look from the outside might say«drive by». But don’t. By all means stop, stretch your legs, and spend some time. Take time to enjoy an extraordinary iceberg wedge salad(smothered in blue cheese, real bacon bits and chopped onion), or perfectly baked flaky potato, or a melt-in-your-mouth rib-eye steak, or an to-die-for piece of pie. Can’t tell you how to explain all of this to your cardiologist. Service is attentive and friendly. And, you can’t get local color like Market Grill.
