Valerie’s reminds me of the food my Tia(aunt) used to make for me. They have a salsa bar with a dozen or so salsas. I order carne asada chimchungas. Since I am not there now, I call a friend who eats one and describes it to me, yeah I know that’s weird but they’re are that good. Oh and rolled taco to die for.

First the good, then the bad… I was excited to see on Yahoo that there was a Robertos here!!! I was hoping for a better experience then that at Albertos and went to check it out. Unfortunately it is no longer a Robertos and is called Valeries taco shop. But I thought what the heck, I’ll give it a go! My husband ordered carne asada fries and I got the carne asada chips. And based on them I would have given them a 4 star rating. So far the BEST here in Cedar City!!! Tasted so close to the originals in my hometown of San Diego CA!!! Their red sauce is also the best out here!!! Full of flavor and good spiciness to it. Now sadly onto the bad… With the good experience of the fries and chips we went back to try out their burritos. They were the smallest and most sad carne asada burritos and California burritos I have ever seen. The taste was great, same as the fries but there was barely anything in it. And as always I give a place a second chance before I review. They were the same small and sad burritos as the first time. They are also more expensive then the other places around. By about a dollar or more. If the burritos compared in size to the other places this would be the only place I would go for my Mexican food. I will be posting pictures of everything shortly. Just like Albertos their green sauce is pathetic. Lacks flavor and spice. It’s just green water. It’s because of all this that they only get a 3 star from me.
So if you want fries or chips this is the place! If you’re looking for a burrito, head to Tacos el jefe instead!

Always happy to support local businesses like this one! We split a yummy chicken burrito and tried a carnitas soft taco. Both very good! Great and quick service. Glad they are open 24 hours — everything else in town appeared to be closed(only the scary McDonald’s was open — yuck!). Definitely recommend to late night travelers like us :) !

It doesn’t look like much from the street and is a well kept secret. There are a few tables inside but most customers get their orders via the drive thru window. The breakfast burritos are cheap and delicious. We usually get the sausage with mexi-potatoes. They are filling and made with fresh ingredients.
