Love this store! The produce always lasts longer in my refrigerator than what I get from Hy-Vee.

Very disappointed in this store. Several of the items in the sale ad were missing or sold out. The meat cooler was broken and empty, like it has been several times in the past.

I used to be Leary of this grocery store because I thought it was for poor people. After hearing my parents talk about shipping here so much my husband and I began shopping here about 4 years ago. Now it’s my main grocery shop. Something’s to know. This is an economical no frills grocery store. They stick mostly private brand and overstock name brands. They consistently are in stock on their private brands but some if the name brand items are there one day gone the next. They don’t stick shelves. Instead everything is palletized and sold out of the cardboard displayers. But this store keeps things really nice and organized. Bring a quarter ! The carts are outside and are locked up. Put a quarter in to use the cart. You get it back when you return the cart and lock it back up. Never have I seen carts scattered all over the parking lot people want their quarters back. Bring your own bags too. Otherwise you can purchase some reusable plastic or paper ones at the register for around 10 cents. Be prepared to bag your own groceries once you pay at the sacking counter. Don’t bring a credit card either. Cash, check, debit or ebt only. And don’t expect a friendly smile in every aisle. They are nice here but they work hard and fast. It’s about efficiency. They have had a lot of the same faces for years so they must take care if their employees. So why shop at a place where you have to pay for your cart and sack your own groceries? SAVINGS! As long as you don’t mind having non-name brand items in your cupboard. I have never felt that anything I have purchased here has been sub quality. They have great deals on all kinds of thing. A large bottle of ketchup at $ 1.29. A fresh pineapple at $ 2.29. Frozen waffles at $ 1.99. And these are everyday prices. They have milk, dairy, meat, fresh produce, softener salt, some pet supplies and frozen food. Now you can’t necessarily find everything here. A lot of the time I make my grocery list and go to Aldi and can get around 80% of it here and get the other oddball or specific items at Hyvee. But this is my first stop. Especially for produce because it’s always a good price, especially when in sale. What would make it a five star? Friendlier employees and more checkouts open. It’s not that the employees aren’t friendly but when they are on the floor working they will pull out their pallets of product wherever they need to go and don’t care what paths they block and don’t acknowledge you while they stock.
