The pizza was okay. Definitely over chessed, but I guess that’s how the locals like it. The bad part was their silverware was so thin it literally hurts your fingers to cut the crust. Plastic beverage cups were underwhelming. I probably won’t go back.

Historically, I’ve found the OP to be great. However, my last visit I noticed towards the end of my meal that the sausage was pink inside still. Guess what happened after? Yep, got real sick. Our server was nice.

As an out of towner, I was surprised by the few pizza options and so of course had to try the OP. Was a little disappointed with the house supreme in that the onion chunks were huge and there were so many toppings there was little sauce. Not my style, but you could tell they make their own crust and don’t buy cheapo can mushrooms.

We tried to eat here once. Two waitresses. Stacks of dirty dishes on bar, side bar, and hostess station. Grossest thing I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. We were never acknowledged and left after 10 minutes. Pizza looked good but didn’t matter because every empty table was full of dirty dishes. This was on 10÷18÷14.

The pizza was good, but crust was thin. I’m glad we didn’t choose thin crust. Kids 6″ pizza is TINY! Overall not a good value.

Ahhh OP pizza… how I love thee. Especially in October, when the Octoberfest pizza is available. In all the years I’ve been a patron at OP, I’ve never had a bad meal there. Service is good, delivery is fast. It’s a little on the pricey side, but the pizzas are huge and all of that yummy cheese makes it with it. If you dine in, you can take your plastic cup home.

We ordered pizza there on Saturday night. We had the grinder, and the all meat supreme. These were two of the worst pizzas that I had ever had in my life. If you like a pizza that falls apart completely as you try to pick it up then this might be the place for you. It is not my idea of a good pizza. When I eat pizza I like to pick it up and actually eat it rather than wear it because it falls apart. It was definitely overpriced. $ 25.00 each for two 16 inch boxes of slop. If I could give negative stars this would be at — 5. NEVERAGAIN.

Ordered for delivery tonight. Ordered at 6:00. It was delivered at 7:00. That’s normal for them. But I was aware of this. I will wait for perfection. Sucks I couldn’t check in since I was a mile and a half away. Even though I got delivery. We ordered a 14″ double decker pepperoni and an order of nachos. The pizza was splendid like normal. Nachos were standard. Corn chips and three dipping containers: nacho cheese, cheese with jalepenos and salsa. I’ve gotten delivery from here often but have never actually eaten at this location.

This is a classic pizza/sports bar establishment. The OP is an excellent choice to come on Sundays to watch all of the NFL games. This restaruant features a good setup with booths in the front, a bar, and then some tables in the back. There are a lot of TVs in the entire establishment. I know that most people that come here her pizza! I can’t say very much about it because I only get one kind: pepperoni. But that is to die for. I don’t like how this location doesn’t have French fries, because at other OP’s the fries are pure bites of Heaven. I have also had garlic bread as an appetizer, and it is very tasty! The pricing is good, as a one topping 9″ is about $ 9. That may be more then you would pay at Pizza Hut or Little Caesars, but here you are paying for quality!

Overall one of the best pizza places in the area. This is just a general review because I have been to this place many many times. The layout of the restaurant is great, featuring many TV’s viewable from all different directions. Certainly a great place to go for the big game or before a UNI game! The pizza is the staple of this restaurant. The specialties are excellent, especially the buffalo chicken. The homemade dough is awesome and tastes perfect. The oven baked subs are also quite tasty! The service is always spot on here! They must do an excellent job training their staff. I hear this is also a great place to hit up at night while on the hill, especially on karaōke night. Great atmosphere and great food!

This place is amazing it has a pretty good atmosphere. The pizza is unbelievably great. If you come and don’t get the pizza you are mistaken my friend. The menu doesn’t stop at pizza– it features a wide variety of foods to fit your needs. The pizza is just so amazing, but every once in a while mix it up. The pepperoni and buffalo chicken pizza are my favorites and I highly recommend them. As far as appetizers go I like the cheesy breadsticks. It’s a great place to watch sports with all of their TVs. Come here and cheer on your favorite team!

The OP is a great location for watching sports. I used to always come here with the tennis team after meets or on Sundays during the NFL season. The pizza is unique and good. The service has always been pretty good too. I think these guys serve the best pizza in town, and it’s definitely a staple for most sports fans!

This review is really based on 20 years of experience with the Other Place, mostly with takeout. I totally crave their pizza and wish I could have it more often than when I’m visiting Cedar Falls! It has a distinctive crust, generous amount of cheese and fabulous toppings – always fresh. The delivery service is consistently reliable. In addition to the pizza the baked sub sandwiches are very good, and the appetizers I’ve tried are awesome as well.

The Other Place looks from the outside a little like a dive bar for locals, but don’t be fooled. Inside, the atmosphere is family friendly, as well as a decent place to visit with friends over a beer. The wait staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. The Other Place has a full, varied menu. The pizzas are truly tasty and include some inventive specials. The Grinder, for example, is a sausage and onion pizza with jalapeños, that will satisfy any appetite for the spicy food. If the kids are tired of the same old cheese pizza, they will destroy the Five Cheese special.

Cedar Falls hottest spot is THEOP(on the Hill!) If you’re looking for family friendly dining, good night atmosphere, super duper awesome staff, and possibly the best pizza you will ever eat – this is the spot for you. This place has everything: Grinders, Dowell Bombs, delicious pizzas and subs, a little piece of Cedar Falls history, and a Yeti Galley. What’s that you ask? It’s that thing where Sasquatch sized men cook copious amounts of pizzas in a midget sized kitchen. This is the original Other Place established in 1970. The pizzas are famous for a reason, the oven baked subs are delicious, and their Deluxe Nachos Plate is a heaping pile of YUM. Their week day lunch menu includes pizza by the slice, soup, salad, and sub combo options. The atmosphere for lunch and dinner is perfect for families and get-togethers. The manager keeps a wide variety of beers on tap and bottled in the beer cooler. They also have a full bar making this a great place for night life. You’ll never find a better group of people staffed in one place. Don’t miss this Cedar Falls gem!

The«OP» as they call it is a great place to come for some drinks and pizza. They have your usual American food on the menu as well, but their pizza is definitely worth waiting for. They have a variety of special pizzas — we got the Hawaiian pizza and I think we all agreed that it was pretty tasty! Just enough toppings, not too much sauce or crust, and ooey-gooey with cheese! I’ve heard it gets busy at night(especially when everyone is in school), but I wasn’t there to see that. It’s also not too expensive. The waitress wasn’t overly friendly, and they have only one person bathrooms. I can only imagine how disgusting that gets late at night. But overall I could see it being a fun place to go as a college student.
