This was my first time visiting this BBQ place & I could say the visit was pretty great! I ordered through the app using Eat24 and it was a breeze! The only thing is it doesn’t give you an option to add a drink on the side(I did tell the woman when I got there). When I got there, the African-American woman seemed to already know that I was there to pick up my Eat24 order which was great. She greeted me with a warm & genuine hello; She was very sweet. She even asked how my experience was using the EAT24 app. I ordered the 2 meat combo(brisket & ribs) with baked beans & skillet potatoes, which came with a roll & I added a sweet tea. I MUST say this brisket is to die for! It’s amazingly delicious & just falls apart it’s so tender. The ribs are pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. I didn’t care for the baked beans, because I don’t really like them in general, but I figured I’d give them a try. I also wasn’t a big fan of the seasoning on the skillet potatoes, but they’re still pretty good. The roll was warm & had a good flavor to it. And as for the sweet tea, it was real southern sweet! I loved it! All in all, this place was a good find & I’m glad I tried it out. With it being so close to home, I’m sure they have a new regular customer! UPDATE: I tried the loaded baked potato and OHMYGOD it was HUGE!!! The only thing is, you’ll need to ask for extra toppings. They give you 1 small ramekin and it’s nowhere near enough for a potato that size. I also ordered the sliced brisket sandwich and it was to die for!!! Pretty much anything with their brisket is amazing!!!

Looking for fresh food? Place might be really good if you luck out and get fresh food when you go. Unfortunately I did not … Went on a Sunday afternoon around 1:45pm. That should mean, in my book at least, that the church crowd would be dwindling but the food should be hot and ready. After ordering food I sat and read reviews as we waited for the food. There is a pattern there, trust the pattern. Got a Rib platter w/2 sides.(Potato salad & green beans) $ 14.99. Out of the 5 ribs, there was a total of 3 that where edible. Rest was old and tough. You could tell that none were fresh even when seperated. Potato salad was ok as well as the green beans. Also tried a slice of briskett that looked pretty much the same. Old meat, reheated and tough. This place has a flavor potential and maybe you will get some fresh off the smoker food. I was dissapointed and for the $ 33 we spent on lunch for two of us I made myself pretty much finish my plate so I didn’t just physically throw $$ away. Two kinds of sauces, one was super sweet and the other was spicy and super sweet. Spicy was the better of the two. Rolls that came with meal where from like Walmart or a grocery store. Nothing special. The BARLEY smoking smokers outside which was the first thing I spotted. Being the middle of the day should have been a warning sign, but the good smell tricked me as I walked up. Don’t think I will be giving it another try.

Unilocal is usually pretty on point with review and ratings. Sadly, based on my experience here today. I felt a little jilted. The establishment is a cute little house turned into a restaurant and looks very promising. The inside is VERY small and has no tables to sit at, a few bar type tables with bar stools. But nothing to accommodate a large party. It was pretty empty when we got there, and we waited out front for several minutes before the waitress/person on staff yelled from the back she would be with us shortly. Finally she came out to take our order. A lot of the reviews stated that the owners were super friendly. I didn’t find that to be that case. She wasn’t rude, but definitely not overly friendly nor was she very apologetic for making us wait and just lacked genuine customer service. I ordered the sliced brisket dinner plate with skillet potatoes and Cole slaw. The skillet potatoes tasted like they were cooked this morning and sat in grease all day until plopped into my styrofoam cup. The Cole slaw wasn’t too bad, but definitely not anything special. Like most reviews state, the meat taste like it has been microwaved. The flavor is there yes — however the rubbery flimsy texture just kills it. I did taste some of my SOs potato salad and it was pretty good. It’s the mayo based mashed kind, which is my favorite kind. None the less the hype Unilocal gives this place is very disappointing and I don’t think I’d go back to give it another try. It’s pretty expensive and I felt like I would have gotten more for my $ at Babes across the street.

Super delicious barbecue! Had the pulled pork and brisket, both were wonderful. The staff is very friendly. Seating is limited and it seems most business is takeout, but the service at the outside tables was very good. Give it a try if you are in the neighborhood!

Great BBQ. I got the brisket sandwich extra lean. Nice outdoor seating under a covered patio.

Mediocre at best. Ribs were hard to chew, brisket very fatty and chewy as well as cut incorrectly against the grain. Skillet potatoes were good. Coleslaw was terrible. Very overpriced for the poor quality of food. Staff very sweet like their yummy sweet tea. I won’t return however.

WHAT A NICESURPRISE!!! Literally found it by chance… But will surely return again. Met the owners Lincoln and Darna. Tried the ribs, brisket, skillet potatoes, okra, coleslaw and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious. Look forward to the next time. At the last minute I ordered some peach cobbler for my wife and she only left me enough to smell. Next time I’ll order my own ha ha Kelam(marketing promoter) wonderful man who we met outside in the patio. Beautiful atmosphere thank you

I gave this place 3 stars their food isn’t bad but it not great but I do like their potato salad. I had their two meat combo plate I chose the brisket and ribs. I had better at winners in Plano. Their peach cobbler was ok in my opinion could’ve been a little bit thicker the flavor was there the texture wasn’t wasn’t good to my liking. NOWTHEQUESTIONISWOULD I GOBACK. I would but not anytime soon.

One of my favorite spots for Barbeque! The owner is a really nice guy! I love to head over and grab a cupcake at the Cupcake Co right across the parking lot from them!

Excellent BBQ. Loved the pulled pork, fried okra and skillet potatoes! They were really friendly and checked up on our table several times. I love that it’s small, unique and has outdoor patio space. We’ll be back!

So disappointed. This place specializes in Reheated food from the microwave. The owner(apparently not the amazing original owner.) took our order. I paid cash and made our food, he didn’t wash his hands or wear gloves. I mentioned that to him and he seemed frazzled then went to wash his hands. The owner put most of the food in the microwave to warm it.((((sigh)))) The dinning room looks clean but if you really look around the place is dirty! The doors have flith on them. The vents are covered in layers of dust. Sauce splattered on the ceiling. Got home and I thought the Bbq sauce was the ketchup, looks like it and taste very similar. The brisket was dried out an very fatty. The chicken was ok, pieces were half wrapped in cellophane so when he heated it up in the microwave at the restaurant it got overcooked The green beans are very spicy, baked beans incredibly sweet, not in a good way. Coleslaw very average. Potato salad is good. All in all don’t go. Even though this place might have good ratings you will get a better meal at Dickies. and I hate Dickies!

Why does this place have such a high rating?!? Crazy. We stopped here on a Saturday, craving bbq for lunch. There were several take out orders, but no one dining in. The place was filthy, the bathroom didn’t have paper towels(or a hand dryer). Our food was absolutely disgusting, and definitely NOT authentic bbq by any standard. The food literally tasted like it was reheated in a microwave from yesterday’s leftovers. The meat was dry and greasy at the same time(not sure how that works…). The chicken was fatty and gross. Honestly, we were just happy to not get food poisoning after eating here, it felt that dirty. Health department needs to come by and make sure everything is up to par. Will never go back.

We came here for the first time a couple weeks ago. We just moved to Texas and figured our first time dining out ought to be barbecue. We couldn’t have chosen better. Apparently the hours listed on Unilocal weren’t quite right, cuz when we got there, they were just about to close. But the guys there were very gracious and let us dine in. They were very friendly and kind the whole time. Now for the food. This Cali girl doesn’t pretend to know the first thing about Texas barbecue. But if Christopher’s is a good representation, I’m hooked. I had the chicken & brisket with fried okra and skillet potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious. The husband agreed. It’s a little bit far from us, but we will definitely be going to this place again and again!

DAMNGOODBBQ!!! If you are looking for a place to sit inside, good luck. There are only a couple of tables. There is a little more seating outside, so make sure it’s a pretty day if you want to eat here. But, if you are looking for good BBQ, then this is it!!! I had the ribs & brisket plate. Both were meaty & very juicy! Their baked beans were decent & their green beans were pretty darn good as well.

I find this place, go in and order ribs and sausage w/potato salad and beans ! This is what I got ! #sad#justsad the sauce looks and taste like orange sauce for an egg roll ! The sausage was mushy and greasey. The ribs were way over cooked ! And everything wrapped in plastic ! I’ve never seen nothin like this ! What a waste of time and MONEY ! Will not be returning !

Nice location. It is easy to find and would be a great location for a real BBQ spot! It would be easy for someone to open up a place inside this one, since on a Saturday afternoon No Pits were smoking, yet my brisket was ready. I am a Pro BBQ eating machine. I am also good at sniffing out bbq cheaters… I wont go any further. I wasted my time, money and review eating here.

I am so excited to find«home style» cooked BBQ so close to home! The food is absolutely amazing and everything has its own unique taste that you can’t get just anywhere. The okra and green beans are to die for. I was contemplating buying some to go. The atmosphere has a very family friendly vibe to it and it is really small but has space outside to sit as well. One of the employees told me that they are going to start having a band play on the weekends. Oh and we find out they cater as well! This place is definitely a gem and we have added it to our go-to for great food.
