I love coming to Ulta, a great selection of what I needed. I bought a few Becca products and some air an Decay items. I haven’t tried anything out yet but I am certain they will be great. I did however need to run over to JC Penny’s to get the concealer that Becca makes that was not sold at Ulta. No wait to check out. Owe one thing I was disappointed in was the brush selection was a mess. They were out of almost everything I wanted.

While in the past this store has had a limited selection of products I use on a daily basis, this Ulta has recently started carrying items that I have traveled here there and everywhere in DFW to find. The employees are friendly and greet you upon entering the store. While browsing to scope out their stock, another employee checked on me and offered to help me find something. I was elated to see that their Mizani products and Chi products are well stocked. This Ulta carries products for women of all ethnicities, which is very refreshing.

I went to this Ulta location to return the Tarte brush that I purchased with this order. Before making the lengthy drive to this store, I followed the directions posted online to make a return in the store and print out the order form. I walked into the store and it appeared to be completely empty. I spent the next few minutes wondering around hoping to see someone. After being absent for some time, a girl appeared at the cash register. I walked up to her, not to be greeted, but to have her hands held out. I handed her the brush, the package invoice, and the order form and I asked if I could return the brush– I would have exchanged it for Bare Minerals concealer, but after the absence of staff and lack of friendliness, I wasn’t interested in staying to find my color. The employee was incredibly disconnected and rude. She was on her radio talking to the manager in the back the entire time. What bothered me the most is that the manager KNEW she was with a customer because the employee had radio’d her asking for her code to authorize the return. In my professional opinion, the manager should not have asked her any further questions about her day, considering she was clearly occupied WITHHERJOB. Instead, the radio(volume up loudly) asked her if she would like to get some extra hours, to which the employee replied. This conversation went on the ENTIRE duration of my time at Ulta. In the midst of all of this, the employee told me that the computer was only allowing her to do a merchandise credit. I asked her if she could try just using the receipt that I had brought and manually input my member ID, ect. and she said that the computer just wasn’t allowing her to put it back on my card and there wasn’t any other option. I asked«Are you sure? Could you ask your manager?» and she radio’d back to her manager that she was in desperate need of hours. I was appalled!!! Not only did you just completely dismiss what I asked of you, but you radio’d back to continue your own conversation! HELLO?! If you are in DESPERATE need of more hours, perhaps you should be a little more attentive to the customer right in front of you. I understand slow work days and not wanting to be where you’re at. I worked in retail to gain experience during college and while it wasn’t always a blast, at least ACTED like I wanted to be there. This girl, who obviously NEEDS this job, was clearly detached and couldn’t care less about her position in customer service. I don’t even care that I wasted my time driving all the way to Cedar Hill to return this brush, I only care that the staff didn’t worry about their customer enough to try and figure out a solution. At this point, I don’t even know if I could fully place the blame on this girl for being unprofessional(assuming that she was trained by that manager), she was probably doomed from the start.

This is a nice cosmetic store for all ethnicity. It has a good range of products for all types of hair. it also have make up, nail products and a salon inside the store. The prices seem to be on the high end but I know I regularly receive coupons in the mail from them on a regular. I only visit this store once every 3 months for a specific product. The employees are very welcoming and helpful when needed. I suggest you try it for yourself to see if it is for you. I think I see more license beauticians shopping at this store. My hair stylist sent me there for a product to use in between my visits.

I seriously love this Ulta location! Okay, true enough I just found out recently that it was there, but after going in today, I am so happy this will be one I get to shop at. The store is a nice size, it was well organized, the staff is extra friendly and helpful, and what can I say… it was just a really nice experience. Plus, it was really nice being able to find my color in makeup without them having to look in the back, and they had plenty of hair products that I do use. Yay!

The Salon is a joke. The service is bad, the prices clearly displayed on the wall is not what they charge, and the stylist did not do the simple angled cut that was asked for. Do not go here if you want good service, good prices, or a decent haircut.

This place is like make-up heaven. And a lot of the times you can find cheaper Maybelline, CoverGirl, L’Oreal, and etc products cheaper here than at your local drug store. Most definitely worth a visit. If you would like to try on/test the make-up, you need to find SHERENE to help you. She’s amazing! And will tell you the truth of what works. If she doesn’t know something, she’s happy to find a co-worker at the store that would know more on a certain product. She’s awesome! I didn’t want to spend too much money on a certain product, so she was able to recommend another brand that was cheaper. I ended up buying a $ 40 DermaDoctor sulfur mask, CoverGirl tinted moisturizer for $ 4(cheaper than CVS), and Urban Decay Naked eye shadow palette for $ 50. And I got a free gift. I highly recommend the sulfur mask and the eye shadow palette!

I love this place! It is always clean, organized and a lot of pretty makeup to look at. If I could afford it I would come here everyday after work. Also, there is always someone there to help you if you have any questions.
