I would just like to say(again) this waterfall is amazing! Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter… it never fails to impress! Why it is not featured on travel shows around the world I don’t know, but I suppose I should be grateful because it remains uncrowded for now. I spent the weekend showing my sister and brother-in-law my favorite places in the mountains. Since my last visit, there have been quite a few changes. The parking lot has been expanded and the access to Triple Falls trail has been greatly improved. Instead of crossing the main road and jumping over a guardrail to access a set of steps, now there is a gorgeous footbridge from the parking lot that leads you UNDER the main road. A very, very welcome improvement. Also, if you decide to continue past Triple Falls to High Falls, there is a new trail that leads you to the base of the falls instead of the old trail that lead down a dangerous path from the High Falls overlook. A great benefit to this new trail to the base of High Falls is there is very little elevation gain, making it very family and elderly friendly. The base of the falls is very windy and misty from the water flowing down the falls. Very cool in the summer, but very cold in the winter. This was a new experience since we’ve never been here in the wintertime. It was pretty cool making our way through the woods and spotting different animal tracks imprinted in the snow. As always, hikers tend to be a fun and friendly bunch. I felt like I met a flock of new friends along the trail, including some kids walking in shorts and flip flops! And yes… I took a picture of them and told them I was posting their crazy butts on social media for everyone to see! LOL FINALTHOUGHTS Still one of my all time favorite waterfalls this side of the Mississippi. Please read my original review for more details or better yet, just get in your car and drive here immediately! You won’t be disappointed. 2016⁄24

Well laid out state park with a welcoming visitors center, trail guidance, restrooms and rocking chairs! It’s actually more of a hilly greenway walk than a mountainous full scale hike because the trails are so well maintained. The scenery and waterfalls are incredible, we saw 3 beautiful waterfalls in 6 miles! I’d highly recommend bringing some snacks and seeing triple, high, grassy and bridal veil falls in a day.

Beautiful area and amazing views. Getting to the falls has a steep hike coming from hooker falls so just be aware of that going in. It is completely worth your time.

Great hiking trail and beautiful views! We recently stopped for the day/night in Hendersonville and had my husband’s uncle show us this beautiful spot. It was busy, but I expected that with late August and Friday afternoon timing. I found the hike to be more challenging then I thought it would be. I hike around Ohio normally, but I found the steep inclines to be harder then I expected. It was definitely worth the hike and time spent as the views are something I’ve never seen. The falls are gorgeous and the water was beautiful. Overall, we had a good hike after sitting in the car for 6 hours. I hope to come back and check this place out again!

How can you not love a hike that you can see multiple beautiful waterfalls from? For me this was easy hiking in a most beautiful setting. It was a busy trail, so if you are looking for solitude — than you might want to pick something else. Very large parking lot, but people don’t know how to park and we had to do a 38 point turn to get out. As for the trail you can see 2 large falls right off the bat if you go left from the parking lot. These falls even have nicely made stairs to get you down to be up close to the falls. You can make your hike 9 miles or skip the out and back to decrease it to a 5 miles loop. Again, undemanding hiking if you ask me and I have bad knees. There are plenty of spots to take a rest and take great photos. It also seems there is a great swim-hole just off the parking lot as well. After our hike was done we walked down to check it out. There were lots of people hanging out, kayaking and floating.

Located in a beautiful part of western North Carolina outside of Asheville. We moved to Charlotte, NC from Colorado and were missing the mountains and hiking. Although not quite like the Rockies in size, the beauty was as good if not better. The fall foliage was beautiful and the trail was well kept. The drive to get there was very scenic.

Hiking in Dupont Forest is incredible. Beautiful day for a hike. The waterfalls were amazing. If you are a Hunger Games fan this is where they filmed the scene where Katniss first saw Peta the next day after their arrival hanging out by the water with the other tributes. Great place for a swim also. A little chilly this time of year but if you’re not a baby you can totally handle it and enjoy yourself and take a nice dip under the waterfall.

Good exercise. Beautiful scenery. Hollywood appeal. Triple threat, boom! If you are in the area, you’re missing out if you don’t check this place out.
